If you look closely at the introduction video to MKD when raiden does his huge explosion thing, just before he does it Shang Tsung jumps into Quan Chi's body.

So he's turned into Quan Chi or did he take his soul to live or did he use his body for protection. What happened

I'm back and I have one more thing to say: Just because Shang and Quan Chi died it doesn't mean they won't be back for the next game. After all, Quan Chi escaped from hell, didn't he?

Plus,Quan Chi and Shang Tsung made another alliacne to kill the dragon king. But there are only two people you ever made it out of hell. One is Scorpion and the other is Quan Chi

Corpse Kang never was in hell. The soul of Liu Kang was chained in Shang tsung untill he died from the explosion, and the body was inhabited by an unknown force.

Onaga ressurected Liu Kang to look like a zombie

Shnag Tsung is one of those characters you do not kill. He's a fan fave and a damn awesome villian, if not the best one that MK has overall. I think there was an interview where Boon said something similar himself, so I believe we've not seen the last of Shang Tsung. He's a slippery snake and they'll find a way to bring him back. It wouldn't be MK without him, imo. He's a fave of mine and I'd love to see him back.

Yeah he can't just be killed never to come back again. He has been a great villan in MK and has lots of fans as you said. I think they will bring him back, i hoped he would be playable in MK:SM becasue he is excallent in SM.
