Is Mortal Kombat X the full title?

Is Mortal Kombat X the full title? Maybe NRS is trolling us, and the title ends up "MK X DC"??

Offcourse MK x DC is not happening, as Boon already said they didnt want to "reskin" MK. But this kinda leads to my question.

i wasn't expecting the same game, but MK9 looked really really good and was the best recieved MK game i think.

The way the Game currently looks, it reminds me more of injustice than MK, wich i find a little dissapointed.
honestly, i prefered getting MK X DC instead of changing MK this much (By change i mean the color scheme and new characters)

With MK9 in mind i ask myself,
why not building up from MK9 and improving it by any sequel, reaching to perfection?

How do you mortals think about the change?

From what i can gather the title is MKX, but not related more to the roman number. The X mostly refers to entering the new generation of MK.

That is what they did.

Injustice is a spiritual successor to MK9, taking the same engine and refining it. MKX further refines what Injustice did, and Injustice 2 will inevitably refine on what MKX has, unless they make a different title with the same engine after MKX.

Im sorry, i think i wasnt clear eneugh. I know about the engine. but i meant the art style, like how they used the colors in MK9. So far it seems to lack the colors that im used to see in MK. and wich should seperate Injustice from MK.

Well i think MKX does have a darker, more "grown-up" feel to its style, colouring, fatality moves, graphics and even the font. To show it's a progression from the former, rather than a flat-out change.

It is the neXt generation on a lot of levels as well as the tenth main in the series.

But seriously what were you expecting? The full name to be Mortal Kombat Xylophone?

If you ment that you find it less attractive to see MKX with one leading color i agree. i guess Its something we see used offen in latest gen games...
so far the stages looked better in MK9 but its still early i have to see more.

I think the graphics, "colors", and dark overtone to the game is exactly what MK needed. I love the direction it is going

exactley thats what i meant. i like seeing MK having a darker look, but i dislike the 1 leading color. I think to MK9 was right there when it came to the stages. Maybe it was because the dark purples. i guess i have to wait and see more of the stages.
