I think Takeda might be slightly cyborg-ish.

Ketchup and Mustard are probably sitting this one out, maybe they'll return via DLC, but I think they're probably going to be in the next game.

Cyrax could be shown in the special forces and Sektor might be building up his Tekunin again.

it appears that Sub-Zero is in charge of the Lin-Kuei now, so who knows. It'll probably be explained in game.

i think the mk team is trying to make it realistic and as cyborgs don't really have brains and hearts or can have there skin melted i doubt they would be in. would like to know what happened to cyber subby and the other cyborgs

By realistic Cyborgs he means like Oscar Pistorious. He's already got a fatality and design figured out.

Cyrax and Sektor aren't just fan favorite characters. What started off as an effort to draw the eye on arcade cabinet select screens has evolved into two of the most developed characters in the Mortal Kombat franchise. Cyrax has a rich history, having been a skeptical Lin Keui warrior who was turned into a cyborg and struggled to regain his humanity. He eventually joins the OWIA, but after being lost and abandoned teams up with Nitara. How many characters introduced in MK3 or later have that much story? Very, very few. And Sektor is just as developed, to the point where he was one of the most important villains in Armageddon. I would love to see either of these two classic characters have their stories expanded on in this new timeline, and I'm excited to see what new directions are in store for them. As they both survived MK9, I'm sure we'll see them again.

I wouldn't mind seeing Sektor recreate the Tekunin, while Cyrax successfully regains his humanity, allowing Sektor and the Tekunin to be the only cyborgs in the MK universe (in this timeline).

I'm also wondering, though, what will happen between Sektor and Sub Zero, when Sub Zero wrests control from either Sektor or his grandfather (assuming Sektor didn't kill him again, that is).

He'll let Sektor live out of pity again and Sektor will hide in Japan with his new clan like last time.
