1) Sareena- Too new, too cool, and too much potential to drop after one game. Sareena can go far...and she should. But she shouldn't have ice powers; that should be non-canon.

2) Mileena- Just as long as she gets over hating Kitana. If she did that, she could come back in the next gen games with a clean slate and be free to do just about anything.

3) Ermac- I can see Ermac developing into one of the main heroes of the next gen...sort of like how Sub-Zero did. Set him up as Outworld's defender and work from there. But hopefully his ending won't happen.

4) Havik- One of the better new characters. Mortal Kombat needed a raving lunatic. Looks cool and his sole purpose is to cause trouble...he can easily fit into future games.

5) Drahmin- Very under-rated chartacter, IMO. Good backstory and the concept of his character is cool...a psychopathic, bloodthirsty monster who kills and tortures people just to hear them scream. I say when Noob, Quan Chi, & Shinnok die...he takes control of the Netherealm and goes from there.

Taven: He was actually a likeable hero. I he had good moves, and a cool look. As for his story, overall it was okay, it's just the WTF shit that was thrown into Konquest that made me wonder. Plus, it would feel kind of cheap to devote an entire game to his quest, and not have him return.

Reptile: I like villains born of tragedy (and reptiles in general, see username and sig). Reptile fits that bill. But I kind of want him over the same "I want my race back so I'll serve the next Dark Lord I see" thing he's been after for the past decade. I have two possible ideas: He retains some of Onaga's knowledge, and tries to jumpstart his own taking shit over with it, or he actually switches from the bad to the grudgingly good, or at least neutral.

Sareena: She should remain good. Seriously, she's probobly one of the better characters the developers thought up of in the MKSZ/MK4 era. Nice design, cool backstory, and a pretty good move list. Read XiahouDun's thread about her for a much better explanation of why she should be in than I could ever make.

Kano: Okay, he's had the same story for the past 15 years. I'd change it up by, instead of having him work for the badguys for the sole purpose of betraying them laster, he could simply be fighting against the badguys out of necessity. Kabal and him could make good rivals to each other. Kabal would want all traces of Kano's Black Dragon gone, and Kano would want to have power in Kabal's reformed group.

Sektor: Dual frickin' pulseblades. 'Nuff said.
Seriously though, Sektor is interesting to me. Unlike Cyrax and Smoke, whom I both like as well, he's inherently more sinister. Cyrax and Smoke leapt at chance to regain their human side. Sektor doesn't even seem to give a damn about his. Cyrax is good and Smoke's been brainwashed by Noob, but Sektor is evil by choice. I'd work him more as an "Agent Smith" figure. Humanity is weakness, and by twisting and "editing out" humanity in people, by roboting them, he's making the world a better place.
Plus, Sub-Zero needs a good enemy. And although Noob is a badass, with Taven and Daegon, and Mileena and Kitana, and Rain and Taven, does MK need another sibling rivalry?

He could be like Noob Saibot's minion like Goro.

He has not been in many games and i think he could be good as a main character in a new game.

Scorpion- Ed Boon's favorite character. Had the most decent storyline from Deadly Alliance to Armageddon. He'll make the cut, I'm sure of it.

Sub-Zero- Come on, you gotta have Sub-Zero to fight Scorpion. They are fierce rivals, not really enemies but rivals. If Raiden and Liu Kang get cut off, he would be the most likely candidate for Protector of Earthrealm.

Taven- Far too new to be cut off. They should let him be in more games.

Raiden- I'd say he's got too many fans to be killed off. He'll either die then reform in Earthrealm like he did in Deception, only the transformation reverses, or he'll become a powerful villain.

Onaga- By rank in power, Onaga should be in the top 5. I think he's much more of an effective villain then Shao Kahn (no offense to his fans). Here's what I think are the five most powerful MK fighters:

Who i want in the next MK and why:

Liu Kang - He's the hero. Hero's always have happy endings, i like the armageddon one, SPOILERheturnsintoearthrealmsprotectorSPOILER
and Raiden is gettin kinda old so Liu should be in.

Kabal - He survived Kahns death squads, he survived Mavado beating him senseless, he can survive Armageddon as well. The hookswords are awesome, he's an anarchist and i think he makes an awesome neutral. I see his black dragon wiped out again and him turning into a mercenary.

Jade - She to me is the most badass female. The staff is good and she has story possibilities concerning edenia. Perhaps she can be the new protector after say Rain was slain or something like that. (note i know rain is not the protector of edenia but it would also be cool if he was and was slain in the process and so Jade sets out to avenge him)

Havik - Well armageddon aint exactly gonna leave the realms peaceful and orderly is it? So who better to be neutral as neutral can be than Havik? Infact i could see him being a more developed character because he could somehow arrange fights or whatnot or stir stuff up.

Sektor - It feels right having a robotic enemy for some reason, and i like what someone said before about human nature being a weakness. Sektor could be a sub-boss or something. Sektor to me stands as a metaphor as people standing against technology, not that im saying its a good or bad thing but it could easily work for MK.

P.s. i want Scorp in the next MK as well but i reckon its a given
