-An Onmyouji, the brains behind Cassie's team who intends to betray them for the Netherrealm's power. Variations may include Onmyouji, Magician (uses tarot), and Taoist (Five new attacks based on the eastern elements) A fatality I have in mind for him involves throwing paper charms at his foe like Reiko's shuriken fatality as they cut the foe's skin up as if they were paper ironically enough.

-Kana. Inspired by Killer Instinct's Hisako, Scorpion's wife returns to ease his soul once she is freed from Quan Chi. Variations could include chains, popular ninjutsu, and a focus on her ghastly abilities where she appears more undead. I picture her resembling a Japanese Lady Stoneheart.

-A Native American girl and successor of Nightwolf that has a Spiritual twin-headed spear, a Cat-themed variation (not your cute Felicia cat-girl either but more of a werecat), and a Shamaness variation that lets her go Dark Phoenix if she has Full X-Ray meter upon being knocked out on top of healing based abilities.

-A new bearer of the name Hydro, Sub-Zero's answer to Takeda (who won't betray him or is now involved in catfight death matches) that even acts as a rival to the new Shirai Ryu that is in fact Forrest Fox's brother. Acts calm but goes ballistic on the Shirai Ryu, Raiden, and whoever might be associated with the Blood God despite the irony of a variation being focused on blood. Of course he has a water variation and another one focused on turning water to ice, the Lin Kuei variation. He turns out to have taken the power of the Water God for himself upon being disenlightened by the Thunder God.

Master Kinker.

A dead legendary warrior that died a long time ago and was revived by Quan Chi after Shinnok got imprisoned by Raiden to help free Shinnok. He wears all pink,uses whips and also wears high heels.

In his XRay he slaps the opponent causing them to fall on the ground and then starts to spank their ass, in the XRay vision you see they ass cheeks bounce.

Fate dresser.

He is one of the watchers that preserve life on Earth, they have been all killed by Shinnok billions of years but only he was left. He stayed in hiding in fear that Shinnok might find him when Shinnok was in the Netherrealm but after he heard that Shinnok got imprisoned he came out from hiding.

He has a book and all his special moves are based around him writing in the book. He can write a rock and a rock will appear.

In his XRay he writes a cool idea for a skirt that the opponent then wears, after that he slams the book on your head and gives them a kiss on your cheek.

KiKang

The daughter of Kitana and Kung Lao, Liu Kang believed for the longest while that he had a true daughter with Kitana but the truth of the matter is that it was Kung Lao's daughter.

After both Liu Kang and Kung Lao came back from the dead, Kung Lao found peace and started to train other monks while Liu Kang kept searching for Raiden to have his revenge, Kitana found the idea of a Scorpion 2.0 is boring and went with someone more interesting like Kung Lao.

KiKang has serious issues because she also thinks that her supposed father is boring as hell and wants to help Raiden kill him.

KiKang has amazing fire powers but instead of dragon shaped fire balls she shots fan shaped fireballs.

Her XRay has her punch the opponent in the face and then break the opponent's leg and then she lands 100 hits on the opponent's stomach until they cry from all the pain.

KuFero

The son of Liu Kang and Kung Lao's wife, Nichus.

After Kung Lao and Liu Kang came back to life, Kung Lao found peace and started to train other monks while Liu Kang kept searching for Raiden to find his revenge. Nichus wanted someone more interesting and not a boring good guy so she went with Liu Kang.

Tetsukage: Devoutly religious servant of the Japanese god of war, Hachiman. He is granted certain abilities by his god, even including being fully possessed at times. However Hachiman sees Tetsukage as little more than a dicardable tool. Tetsukage adorns himself with many religious artifacts, charms, and markings.

- Has Kahn variation
- Outworld Civil War now a triangle of forces all fighting for control
- Through Havik, gains all of the Kamidogu giving him tons more power

- Mileena uses amulet to destroy Li Mei's village, which happens to be one of the main bases for Kotal's military forces
- Li Mei escapes into Earthrealm and leads the Special Forces into Outworld and aids to avenge her fallen villagers

SAREENA
- Aid to Quan Chi, secretly helping Kuai Liang after he is freed
- Has a demon variation

SMOKE
- Freed from Shinnok/Quan Chi's control along with Scorpion & Sub-Zero.
- Is now a full-on Enenra and can use his smoke abilities to a greater advantage, blinding opponents for a few seconds to stun.

FUJIN
- Aids Earthrealm's warriors in the Netherrealm War and afterwards attempts to oust Raiden when he begins to abuse the Kamidogu's power.

5 new;

FEMALE TARKATAN
- Baraka and Mileena's daughter.
- More spikes on her body, and tiny spikes coming out of her head that resemble hair.
- Much more nimble than Baraka and able to teleport like her mother.
- Has arm blades like her father.

OUTWORLD FEMALE DEITY
- Fed up with the Civil War, looks to wipe out all 3 instigators
- Think Xena mixed with a little bit of Yuna from Final Fantasy X
- Uses a hachiwara as a weapon

MONK
- Trained by Bo' Rai Cho as a Liu Kang replacement for Earthrealm after the loss of so many lives in MK9
- Indian ethnicity

CYBORG
- Silver cyborg, created by Sektor before Sub-Zero re-claims the Lin Kuei.
- Shoots projected energy beams from his helmet
- Skinnier, sleeker model than the previous cyborgs

DEMON
- Similar to Omen from Killer Instinct
- Works under Shinnok, replaces Quan Chi once Troll Chi becomes a traitor.

Five Returning Characters:

Fujin - An important member to the storyline, and as one of the most powerful gods of Earthrealm, he could easily be written fluidly into any storyline involving Earthrealm. I would love to see him with a wind focused variation, a staff themed variation, and maybe a third one that integrates smaller wind attacks into combos.

Drahmin and Moloch - An oni from the Netherrealm, I'd love to see Drahmin return as Scorpion's ally, with a bone to with Quan Chi over some Netherealm business. Perhaps they escaped to seek revenge against Quan Chi during the Netherrealm War. One variation focused on his use of flies would have been cool, but might have too much overlap with D'Vorah right now, so I think instead we'd need two that focus on his club, one for straight up pummeling, and one integrating Hung Gar techniques for a more technical assault. His third would center on Kun-Lo, his mask, and the properties is bestows upon him and suppresses. Moloch would be harder to do three variations for, but I'm sure having one aggressive and one that focused on the ball and chain as weapon(s) would be versatile. Not sure about his third.

Rain - As one of the Kahnists loyal to the throne, I'm stoked he's still being integrated into the written story, and I have hope that he's a secret unlockable character in the game. However, should be not be (though he should be), he'd still be in my top five to see come back as DLC. I want to see how his variations would be done. There's so much room to work in with his abilities it's almost too liberating. Any direction could be gone in. But I'd like to see what NRS could do with him under these settings.

Smoke - As a character, Smoke had way more screentime in Mk9 than most. Like, probably top five characters seen during cutscenes. So how the hell did he get scrapped from MKX's storyline? That baffles me, honestly. Why spend so much time developing a character and then leaving them as a Netherrealm revenant? What a waste. I hope that isn't what's happening here, but it sure looks like it. Another character with lots of room for three variations. Could be a very engaging and fun character to use.

Five New Characters:

King Gorbak - I'd like to see more Shokan characters. Maybe it's asking a lot since NRS seems to struggle diversifying three characters who are open canvases besides their shared interest in extra appendages. But it sure as hell shouldn't be asking too much.

Grandmaster Oniro - The grandmaster of the Lin Keui, and Sektor's grandfather. If Sub Zero wrestles control of the Lin Keui and Sektor never took it from his lineage's hands this timeline, then Sub Zero surely fought Oniro. If he's based on his cartoon version, then he can transform parts of all of himself into different animals. This is dope af and should be utilized immediately. Can you imagine how dope his brutalities would be?

Belokk - Originally supposed to be in MK4, this is the perfect time to bring back the character left on the cutting room floor during the original shift to 3D fighting. Sad this doesn't appear to be happening.

Tasia - Tremor is coming into the fold finally. Why not Tasia? She already showed up in the comic. This could and should happen. We need better Black Dragon members than the garbage-tier Deception reps we got the last time we had new BD members.

Hornbuckle - Maybe he could be foreshadowing for something further down the line. I don't care. But it'd be super cool and fans would/should love something like this happening. Maybe he could be counter heavy, suggesting Blaze's lack of attacks were knowing Hornbuckle would be ready. Or at least have a variation that is. Still, another blank canvas.

New cyborg - created by a red dragon experiment, this new cyborg prototype is their secret weapon in the outworld war. Variations based on tar/oil and other poisonous, hazardous things.
