It has. There hasn't been a cononical tournament since MK3 I believe, MKDA, MKD, and MKA has just been random fights to gain their goals. So this has already happened, they HAVE changed the storyline, it's jsut coincidence the same characetrs are always involved, actually it's not, IMO the MK tournament set the stage for what was to come, by establishing character relationships to they could be brought back

Well, seeing how Vash pretty much shown everyone who views this thread that there's been a change in the story, there's pretty much nothing else to talk about.

Though in this case, that's not going to happen when I'm still active around here.

I feel that they should make each character that's in the game with a very deep storyline. You see, I always question myself on how majority of these people got involve with Mortal Kombat. Majority of them are in it for a revenge motive, others are in it to try to gain some upper strength in power, others were just thrown in there because they ran out of ideas.

I don't want to play as characters who story just lacks the potential of a great character. I've heard people mention that there are characters who has been in this series for a long time and they have the dullest story and really does not have the potential of returning. Why do that? Characters should have a deep story, and why am I saying this rather than talking about the game's story is becuase of this.

Mortal Kombat has have a wild story to follow, and I feel that they're going to mess it up again if the series continues in the future and I don't want that to happen. Does there really need to be a story? This might be just one wacky idea but I'm throwing it out there just for a suggestion... can it be just a huge Konquest game? I mean you all want it to return in the next game. Does there need to be a story? Because honest the truth, I've been lost since MK4 happened and I really have no idea why all of a sudden there's no tournament anymore. That's how thrown off I'm at with this game and the story is because they suddenly changed it just like that for no reason whatsoever.

Therefore, each character should have a huge story to follow, and all combined in one game. Like, go through each character and how they got involved with the tournament. Therefore, there doesn't need to be a story. More like, we're playing characters in the past games in a future game. That's the best I can do to describe on what the fuck I'm really talking about.

I was doped up on cake, my english was bad at the moment, and this whole thread seems like a grammar mess to me. But hopefully if MK survives, we'll be getting that clean slate we were promised, that should be itneresting

If I buy a game, Im gonna play it for the fight. Not to read pixel character life stories at the end. Speciallly at this point where kids all over have been playing MK since it came out( which was damn near a decade ago). It's pretty much predictable what a Scorpion or a Shang Tsung character is fighting for. It's bad enough the whole concept of a new Mortal Kombat-anything is getting old. I'm starting to think people use it as Bed-time stories at night sleeping with the damn instruction manuel.
