T-Rex posted this in another thread about something else, but I feel like I have to shine a light about this, since no one else seems to care about this very subject.

Here

Sorry if this was posted before.

No, I'm not too worried. I hope it's similar to MK9's controls, but if it's not, I can learn and adapt.

I fixed my first post in here...look at it again. It was supposed to be a link.

Nah. Controls sound fine. And theres plenty of time to adjust if they have consistent problems when playtesting.

Oh, then I'm not worried at all! That sounds amazing, the only thing I would change is the Throw and Interactable buttons, I would switch them. This is great news, really looking forward to the launch of MKX.

Well, my fear was that the new MK game will play like Injustice. I didn't like how Injustice played. And then seeing a few new videos, the fear grew stronger, until I stumbled on that article. But the point is, personally, if I couldn't adapt with Injustice, there's no way I would with MKX. But knowing that it plays like MK9, I can't wait to play as the new characters and bring them in the lab.

Though it probably won't feel like Injustice, Paulo did reveal in the dash cancelling is mostly gone.

That Maximillian guy knows his shit, said it felt like Mortal Kombat, he seemed really pleased with it. I wouldn't sweat it.

You can't dash cancel into attacks BUT you can run cancel into attacks so all they did is regulate offensive pressure by having to manage a stamina meter. I think it sounds awesome. There's still a block button and it's still Mortal Kombat.

I'm a big Maximilian fan, but he never played MK9 at high level. As far as I know, he only revisited it later to prepare for Injustice.

though he's probably right that the game feels the same. I don't think the changes are going to affect basic play very much. It's more than likely the neutral game and footsies that are going to feel much different.

I think it could be awesome, but I definitely have concerns. I'll go more in-depth in the thread I made last night once my day frees up more.

Either way though, I think backdash whiff punishing is going to feel way different.
