Overall I like your idea. However I am not to fond of the way you have things, such as Kahn having a different name and appearance. I think Kahn, would still be a big guy and have the same name.

Then again, I was thinking of a game that took place during the Great Kung Lao's time. That way you would have Raiden, Shang, Goro, Kahn, etc. It could start out as Kahn in his early ruler days, and Shang winning his first MK tournament, etc. And from there it would all fall into place with the MK timeline. The possibilities are endless.

A game based on the Mortal Kombat novel then basicly. That would be cool, but Kung Lao doesn't deserve another game as a Main Character. lol
