I think it would be hot if in MK8, when you are playing the arcade mode, every character you run into should have a little cut scene before the match. For Example: Scorpion and Sub-Zero would most likely have words for each other, so if you chose Scorpion as your character and your next opponent (in arcade mode) is subby then there would be a cut scene where they converse a little bit before the match begins. Another good example would be Sonya and Kano (if they appear in the game). Also every character in the game should have an individual cut scene for when they are facing the MK8 boss, and every cut scene should go along with the MK8 storyline. Besides every character has their own reasons and goals for trying to stop the boss, so I just thought it would be interesting. What do you guys think? It probably wouldn't happen because I know that the MK team most focuss on other things but it's just a little idea I'm throwing out there.

I remember posting this exact same idea a few years ago for MKD. But yeah, little details like that really add to the experience when playing a fighting game. So I hope it makes it in MK8.
Yeah, that sounds a bit like Soul Calibur III. Unfortunately, SC3 just has a set amount of phrases, none which are particularly personal. The sub-boss, right before you complete the game in story mode, has some specific conversations. If you die, your character will be on the floor unconscious, and your enemy will taunt you, usually something specific. I really enjoyed that, and wouldn't mind seeing it MK, as long as they don't reuse the same character voices...
Now, when I clicked this thread, I thought you meant cutscenes for endings and whatnot. My computer software knowledge is pretty much crap, so my terms might be a bit off but...
I really would like to see something other than picture endings. If anyone's played SC3, you'll notice that the endings are particularly CGI, but they're using the character models themselves to talk, move, attack with input codes and whatnot. It didn't look as touched up and neat as a CGI video, but hell, it kicks ass compared to pictures.
I'd like to see them go with both of those, but the chances of them doing it? Probably not too hot.

Unless they are done by Joseph D. Kucan, the no, save space for more important stuff.
Here is why: NLade Runner(V) writer, directed and acted Command&Con-quer, Legend of Kyrandia, Lands of Lore, and is an avid swordsman and outdoorsman.
So far the MK4 and the MKD-MKA cutscenes had either awfull sub par directing -MK4 mosr prominently, or were downright cheesy.

I don't understand why you're bringing Joe Kucan to this conversation. Are you saying that you want MK8 to have real-life FMV's, as in the actors play the roles of mk characters in the cutscenes? If so, I actually won't mind seeing these kind of cutscenes ,if mk ever goes back to 2D digital graphics.

I had this same exact Idea, cut-scenes to show who the next opponent was.
and for Sub-Zero, if his next opponent was Noob it could go something like..........
Sub-Zero sees the original Sub-Zero talking to him in spirit form they talk about how corrupt he is and how the Elder Gods have sent their champions to kill Sub2, Then Sub2 bows down to the original to show respect and wham!!!!!!! a kick to the face, the camera would pan up to show that it is Noob, then that trademark MK announcer would say "NOOB".

Man, Joe Kucan's a badass. Where'd you get the dancing Kane avatar, kingjolly?
Anyways, Yeah, I think it's long since time they did this. If anyone's played Tekken 5 or Dark Ressurection, they did those little intros, and it definitely helps the story make some sense. Even for a guy like Dragunov, who just stands around looking sad.
So yeah, it's a good idea, but frankly, I doubt it'd happen. Hell, we've just started to get bios for MK8, half a year after the game came out.

Good idea 4 Sub n Noob.
Good ideas....here's mine:
Taven stands before Argus after he defeats Blaze. The godly essense does not flow through Taven as originally planned.
Taven: Father, good to see you!
Argus: Ahhh, Taven. I expected you to be victorious.
Then, all of a sudden Lord Shinnok appears behind Argus and kills him!
Shinnok: Taven, you fool. This is not your father, Argus, but a mere clone. I've created this clone of your father!
Taven: What? You're mad!!!
Shinnok: Ahahaha. I was also the one who awakened your younger brother Daegon to do my bidding!
Daegon glares at Shinnok and mutters something under his breath. Shinnok just smiles.
Shinnok: I was the one who set all of this in motion in order to get my amulet back and now that I have it back...
(more to follow soon)

This kind of thing would be cool for Scorpion and Sub-Zero.
I would think this game does something ala Twisted Metal Black, where it features a nice short movie at the beginning of the game, when you are halfway completed with the game, before the boss fight, and after you beat the game. This way you have an idea of what actually goes on during the events of that game, rather than waiting for the sequels to find out.

what he said, this should totally be included with MK... i'm tired of seeing still pictures with an annoying narrating voice and stupid shitty endings that suddenly make you think the character you just beat the game with is pointless.
stupid Deadly Alliance making Frost evil... stupid Deception making Sub-Zero having a gay ass ending... stupid Armageddon that had no point in the endings whatsoever... fuck them hard in the ass... and no this is not EMo... i hate emo.
