But suggesting the MK storyline is heading the way of Star Wars? In what way does MK7 seem like the latest Star Wars? Is Liu Kang going to discover Shao Kahn is his father, and Kitana his sister? Doubt it.

Also Cyrax's weapon is very similar to a lightsaber.You could say that the palette swap ninjas are like the clones in Star Wars.

This is such a bunch of bull. The way you guys are talking is to say there is original idea and everything is a copoff of everything else. Ya well I heard that MK was copied off of Stret Fighter because its a fighting game. Nothing else is the same unless if you count that there are fighters to choose from in each fighting games. As for the Star Wars related thing, well, I can actually see Noob Saibot being Darth Vader-like with his relationship to his brother, Sub-Zero. I guess Kitana would be kind of Princess Leia-like. Then again, Ashrah does kind of have the whole Princess Leia thing going on with her alternate costume in MKD.

The other comparisons I can see, but didn't the SF that Fei Long and Cammy first appear in come around the time of MK2?

If anything other games copy off of MK,KIller instinct,finishing moves,Eternal warriors made in 92 tried it with their own vesion of shitty death traps and finishing moves, when MK2 came out.Star wars light saber???I dont think so,Cyrax's light saber doesn't make a weird Star wars sound,it makes an almost machine like sound.Although i read that DOA was made and influenced by MK and SF....This is said by the DOA creater himself he wanted to combine the ideas of these two great fighter,and make his own,with his own signature things like multitiered arenas,destructable environments.Deception got the idea from those games but added a twist,like brutal deathtraps,no game has got that like MK does,so brutal,i can't wait to see what crazy ass ideas MK7 will have!!!!!!
