Human Mileena.

I think it would be a good idea for MK10. Kitana revived as an undead wraith (a'la Scorpion) on the side of evil by Quan Chi while Mileena becomes a full Edenian and eventually turns into a hero.

Let's say Raiden wants to procure Onaga's egg in order to prevent his revival so he goes to Outworld to try and steal it, Mileena and her guards catch him so he tries to barter with her for the egg, she drives a hard bargain. Raiden exchanges with her- He'll transfer Mileena's soul into Kitana's body (which was still intact, she didn't have anything gouged or torn out by Sindel) if she'll give her the egg, she agrees.

In doing so, Mileena inherits some of Kitana's memories, which begins to fill out the gaps in her psyche (as mentioned in her bio- she was an empty slate conformed to Shao Kahn's will, no conscience). Eventually, Mileena completely changes and actually works to save Kitana from the netherrealm.

No. Ypu basically just said "Put Mileena in Kitana's body, it feels right."

It wouldn't be Mileena if she was inKitana's body. Mileena as an Edenian would never work well because she loses her defining feature- her Tarkatan mouth. It's not Mileena without that maw.

No offense, but that didn't make any kind of sense whatsoever.

Mileena is human, the only thing about her that is Tarkatan is her mouth. She has no spikes coming out of her, she's got no blades in her arms. Basically, she's human enough.

The one thing that really made no sense, is how would Edenia just accept Mileena as a ruler when she has a mind of a child? In mk2011, she's literally a kid in an adult body. I would rather see her try to take over Edenia with her still being evil when she actually can think like an adult. I just really don't see this character turning good, unless you count the Powerpuff Girls ending that Kitana had in her arcade ending.

That was just stupid in my opinion.

I never said anything about her ruling Edenia. All I said was that in order to obtain Onaga's egg and prevent his revival, Raiden exchanges Kitana's body for the egg with Mileena (who in the original timeline, wanted to take over Kitana's life.). With the tarkatan DNA gone, Mileena begins to change.

No. Just no. Mileena is perfect the way she is, and I think they made her that way for a reason. If they put her in Kitanas body, it really would just not be the same. The way she acts, and her facial features are part of her character. But this is just coming from a guy that mains Mileena, and loves her story.

Mileena is popular because of her mouth. It's the whole "sexy with the mask on, but face of a monster underneath" thing that appeals to people.

You kinda left me thinking that she did since you said "Mileena and her guards..." What guards then? And why would Mileena protect the egg, let alone even know about it?

A Human Mileena wouldn't work. Dare I say it, Mileena unmasked in MK9 was prettier than Kitana umasked in MK 9.

I would rather Mileena simply join Kitana than the two sitching roles.

I've never doubted the possibilty of Mileena becoming a hero, in fact I've endorsed it. What I oppose is Kitana falling from grace. She is the only member of the Forces of Light with a pure heart, someone who cannot be corrupted. It would destroy all essence of what is good in MK if Kitana became evil.

To be honest, if anyone at this point was to become evil, it would be Liu Kang, considering his feud with Raiden. To be honest, I think that was the inspiration for Liu Kang's persona in Legacy. But I digress.

That would be pathetic! Mileena is NOT suppose to have a kind, sweet heart like Kitana she is suppose to have the rage of a Tarkatan. So being the ruler of Edenia is a no go. And plus why In the world would Raiden put Mileena's soul into Kitana's body? 0.o

Mileena is like a hybrid human and tarkatan. She's good how she is now, no need changing her up. Some characters that are dead should stay dead to give other characters a chance to shine. Yeah I don't like what they did to her character in MK9, overly sexified and stupified. What I do want Mileena to have is motive and the ability to really think. I don't like her turning good though, it would go against her character. I could see her pretending to be Kitana though (like in MKD) and actually lead Edenian forces, with ulterior motives of course.

Stupid question inbound, but if it's Kitana's body and Kitana's memories, isn't that basically Kitana? And if Kitana's already around as a spectre, this is the longest, most roundabout way of turning two characters into one character with two bodies.

This is like that bit from the Blair Thumb: "She took their heads, switched 'em, like it was some kind of sick game. Then she took their bodies and switched them too. They came back lookin' exactly the same. But we all knew they'd been all switched up."

Not really, It's basically Kitana without Kitana. Kinda like Liu Kang's body being controlled by Dark Raiden while his soul was in Outworld.

Please, I beg of you, ct this crap. Keep t to your riginal thread, please. They're not ninjas, we don't need Red Sonja in MK. Stop being irrelevant to the topic, please.

On topic, Mileena is not Kitana. Mileena has the rage of a Tarkatan, the seductivenes of a prostitute, and the mouth of a rabid shark. Without that, it's pointless. She needs her maw to be relevant, really. Without it, people lose way too much interest.

I actually liked the fact that they made her act like a kid, it can progress into something better sine she didn't die. We could see her mind progress.

It's like the movie the Island, where the McGreggor's character's mind begins to grow as he's learning different things... Kinda made me feel like referencing that movie. I doubt this is the direction the writers wanted to take with Mileena, however, it wouldn't be a bad thing to say that maybe she's got a mentor for the next game, teaching her how to become some powerful badass since Edenia has no ruler.

It could still happen to where she can take over Edenia, the way I see it however, she needs to be taught how to become a ruler.

That's kinda the thing for me. I'm all for Character growth and development but the fact that Mileena needs someone to help her, in an way, weakens her. In the original timeline Mileena herself and by herself, developed in the opportunist, striving to be Ruler/Princess from the Lowly, Not-quite Kitana clone. Mileena had an mind of her own, was Crafty on her own (Such as in her Deception ending, Non-canon, I know but it shows her thinking strategically) The possiblilty of someone basically having to hold her hand and teach her, is just....

Especially since those are some of the main reasons why she is one of my favorites. She goes from being an strong character with an strong mind and strong will to basically dumb muscle. That feels like regressing to me.

I can understand that. I just feel that the direction they have taken Mileena, there's that way or... Have her wonder around aimlessly for what? Does she know Edenia exists right now? Does she know that she can easily capture it?

If she is to have someone help her, I wouldn't make it a definite team out of it... Just have it where she knows a little bit more than what she does now and use it to her advantage and be more of an individual than being a big kid.

And believe me, I know how much it sucks to like a character that isn't going anywhere now... My favorite is Frost and look what they did to her for two games... Yeah like I really enjoyed seeing her frozen in ice for her endings.

I suppose they could have brought it up when Baraka suggested Mileena ruling when they thought Shao Kahn was dead, The fact that she didn't even speak up against Shang Tsung (creator or not) always bugged me.

Why couldn't this ending have happened?

I wouldn't mind if they took a page out of the Legacy series where Mileena has a normal Human mouth, turns into her Tarkatan mouth when she becomes angry,then back to a normal Mouth when she calms down. It would help make the whole "They're supposed to be twins" aspect more believable. And it would help seeing her emote better now that we're in the age of FMV cut scenes in story modes.
