Considering the world-shattering, life-or-death stakes of the MK storyline, I was never sure why more people didn't bring guns.

Well Kano has been handing them out like candy, so...

Are you talking about guns or projectiles in general??

Makes you wonder why he never used one. I guess eye lasers and cannonballs do seem more fun.

Firing guns during gameplay moves/combos. Actual tactical use, improved from MK9 Stryker's tactical pistol delay.

Considering the stakes in an invasion, it is asinine to even use hand to hand combat. But this is MK, where it seems fists can pierce armour and are more reliable than guns....

In seriousness, probably only a handful of chosen fighters are superhuman enough to withstand bullets. Kinda stupid, but otherwise it would be a FPS not a fighting game. Gameplay-story segregation.

Guns is pretty stupid for a fighting game imo, even missiles or bombs but I could accept it from Sektor & Cyrax because they were robots. If Jacqui has flamethrowers, that would be great, but if those are machine guns ughh...that airstrike by Cassie is the worst. Picture the SF using airstrikes all over Outworld and other places, this invasion / war would be over in a second..

Johnny also punched robots in the groin and they bent over in pain. It's called suspension of disbelief. Besides, I would much rather Jax to pull out a gun than throw a random pink energy ball. At least Liu could have trained to conjure fireballs, and Johnny uses his green energy in most of his moves.

I don't know, the guns thing kinda takes it out for me a little bit.

I agree, Cyrax and Sektor were cyborgs (not robots, there's a difference) so of course they used some sort of projectile, but it fit for the theme of the game.

Guns shouldn't be removed entirely, BUT I do think that Cassie having them is good enough, and nobody else should.

Which makes Erron Black bitter-sweet. He's cool, but he has Colt Navy's from the 1800's, and that bothers me just a little bit. If he were the ONLY one to have firearms that'd be okay, but seeing as Cassie and him both have handguns, it's a little *too much.

If Erron ends up as playable, I'm hoping his pistol shots will be bursts vs Cassie's single shot that's across all variations. He's got two of them to utilize. Actually, since the conversation is still fresh in my mind (and since I can't think of anything else to compare it to atm :P), kind of like Dante's super from UMVC.

Oh! Or like Stryker's enhanced gunshot from MK9.

So, now that the game is out, and Erron`s tactical prowess mastered..
Who all use guns, in what variations?

Erron Black, Jaqui, Cassie, Jax, Dronya...

How many people use guns?
Too damn many.

Like actual guns with bullets? Cassie, Jacqui, Erron, and Jax I think.

I think they have varied the gunplay well. It makes sense for the special forces to use guns (Erron Black as well). I would much rather they use guns than random energy that appears for no reason.
