I would wait 4-5yrs for the type of game I expect from them.

1. 20 characters

2. 30hr MksM style Conquest mode modernized

3. 20-30 arenas

4. A good amount of REAL "secrets", less "unlockables"

5. Fantastic story to back it all up.

6. Absolutly wonderful graphics

7. Animated endings, bios and vs screens, a good sized opening fmv
(come on, it's about time)

More realisticly though, they said they will not release a game until the new system has become well established. Doesn't say alot I guess but I wouldn't expect one for at least 2yrs.

I agree with this. I think that Midway should spend, like, 4 years on a super awesome MK game, with loads of secrets and replayiibility. Which would keep hungry gamers full for, like 3 years. And while the gamers enjoy that game, they would already be starting a new game.

If it takes four years, it better have more then 20 charecters. After this latest round of babying as far as roster goes, id be suprised if they went under 40 for the next game...and spending too much time on Conquest mode is only going to drag MK down...the MK team should split in half, one for Shaolin Monk sorta games, and one for the true MK games...Vogal can just go with the SM set, since I never plan on buying an adventure MK game lol

I think it will be out sooner rather than later, because I think they have been working on the next-gen MK for a while.

Well we all know they said there going to release a new mk game every year. so oct. 2007 its the adventure games turn. And I think this time it should be all about Mini Games. Have Puzzle back but with more characters and new features, have Motor Kombat back but with lots of tracks and tons of players, have a MK style shooting game like "THE GRID" and etc...

I think the next MK will come out by the time I finish college.

1. More options in the wake-up game.
2. Shorter parry window
3. String combos and get rid of dial-a-combo.
4. Throw escapes
5. Move properties
6. Frame advantage
7. Signature Fatalities
8. Interaction with the enviornments in each stage.

I thought the team said 'an MK game a year' when Deception was released. So far, thats happened (Deception, '04; Monks, '05; Armageddon, '06) so the next will be in Fall '07, naturally.

Weren't they working on MK8 when they were making MKA??

They have been working on MK8 for a little while now. And you guys have to think Midway is always rushing them. There pushing them to make a MK game once a year. So it will be this time next year. If they have to they will higher more people to help make it.
