How do you do a faction kill?

I can see the commands in my moves list but is there something special you have to do to do them as it doesn't work?

Are you standing full screen away from your opponent? You also have to hold down block while doing them, too.

You have to do it from full screen. I struggled with it at first too.

Stand a good distance away, and make sure you are holding the R2 (Or RT for Xbox?) button when performing the inputs

This confused me as well. It should tell you like in the Fatality inputs the distance as well.
