Hello,

I am looking to order one of the two above mentioned pads. I tried the dual shock 4 and was not feeling it for fighting games.

I have heard nothing but good things about hori's fc3 but not much on the fc4. On the other hand apparently pdp has a bad rep for quality however I am drawn to the mechanical buttons the mk x offers.

What do you guys think would be a better option to order.

I would also entertain the idea of another option like a stick but I do not know how effective it would be for mx where there are no quarter circle or dragon punch style motions.

Thank you

I went with the mkx one but the hori is probably better quality. Mkx one looks like cheapy plastic while the hori looks solid.

Buy a Hori one. Fighting Commander is a very good gamepad for fighting games. I read that D-pad is amazing and it allows you make some crazy combos.

But you have to remember that there will be some problems when it comes to playing Mortal Kombat games. This pad is better for Street Fighter because you use one hand to control D-pad and the other one to push other buttons. In SF games you have 3 kicks/3 punches. In Mortal Kombat you have 2 kicks/2 punches+block+throw+stance change. So 1 button more.

So you better check some websites so you can find out whether you can use that pad for MK with no further problems.
