Could you please provide a link where this is stated? I also want to believe that IGN made a mistake, I am really hoping that they release the HD remakes of MK 1-3

Search the TRMK forums, Pat McCarron posted it (and, to a lesser extent, Tim Static backed it up). He's the one who broke the news. He has inside sources who were working very close to the project. He's usually the very first to break Mortal Kombat news and has never been wrong. If I were in Vegas, I wouldn't bet against him. For those who wish to believe the game isn't real, you're certainly welcome to that, I can't argue with your beliefs. But if you want facts, do some research and you can see this game is more than a mere rumor. When will it come out? That's anyone's guess.
