It cert sound like he was deconfirm. Some people are in denial saying it was joking or whatever. I wouldn't expect him to be on MKX main roster or DLC.

I doubt half. Maybe a few like 3. they have to make sure all the trilogy lovers are pleased.

10 of the game's 14 characters are from the Trilogy era.
No doubt there's going to be more than three more newbies.

What a surprise, what's next? Shinnok and Fujin to be confirmed dead, yet we gotta have those two guest characters though, now that's a must.

I dont think the guest characters will count on the main roster, I said on the other thread probably two or three classic characters revealed next then seven or eight brand new fighters to complete the roster.

Agreed, they immediately threw in the "can't talk about this" as soon as his name was brought up, as they did with everything else spoiler related in the video. I certainly hope he's playable in this game, but he will almost certainly play some part in the game. If not playable, then possibly an NPC in faction invasions(which would be a massive effing tease).

There won't be more than 4 brand new added; Boon said in interviews that there won't be as many as Deception so 7-8 new ones in total and we already have 4 (or 5 if counting Ferra & Torr as two characters who just happen to share one slot).

It's pretty obvious you don't want 3D era characters but you can't just quote E3 news and ignore all interviews Boon & NRS did after then where they've stated "there will be at least one character from MK4 who isn't Quan Chi and some characters from later games in the new game".

You're kind of coming off (to me anyway) as one of those people who point-blank refuse to accept things they don't like, just because they don't like it; it's like when people used to say "No way is Daniel Craig the new Bond, this news must be fake; I really don't like him. Besides I heard that George Clooney was possibly going to be Bond".

When I first heard him say it during the stream I was thinking he accidently deconfirmed him but im not sure, it could have been an intentional "slip up" to kind of troll the people who have been hoping for him.

Hopefully he is in though, especially if they make his primary similar to his old alt, that costume was awesome.

Nothing wrong with the 3d era characters apart from most of them being utter shite.
Thats what Im having trouble wrapping my head around Armageddon was a shit game, which basically dead ended the mk storyline.
NRS knew that so they rebooted the entire series with the last game and changed the storyline for the better,now people want the junk back from the shitty days when mk was on its last legs.

Ok so let me get it straight. Boon said before that MKX will introduce the biggest number of new characters from all MK games. It would mean 12 or 13 (depending how you count).

But now he says it will be not as many as in Deception?

Also he said couple of times (not only him) that the select screen is not final and there will be around 30 characters.

I hope he will not change his mind about this.

8 new ones - 4 confirmed, 1 spoted (Bowman), 3 remaining
20 returning ones - 10 confirmed (including Goro), 4 spoted (Sonya, Jax, Mileena and Liu Kang), 6 remaining

What they said about Havik didn't sound conclusive either way imo. I don't feel any more or less like Havik will or won't be in, after having heard it.

Why wouldn't he be in??? He's the most popular 3D era character along with Kenshi, he's the easiest character to work into a story, he was in Johnny's MK9 ending already so he still exists in the MK world. I thought it was a no-brainer for him to be in this game. He better not be just DLC either, he's better than that.

Tanya, Fujin, Shinnok, Kenshi are my bets. (even though there are some worrying signs concerning Fujin)

I'd agree but Ed Boon implied one character from MK4 in addition to Quan Chi and "characters from the later games." With this game going into the other realms (Chaosrealm already being mentioned specifically), and Hotaru and Havik being some of the most interesting characters from that time period, I have no doubt. Though I think there will be at least one more character from the 3D era, and it's probably Kenshi.

Shinnok is in if mk9 story mode ending is cannon. Say shinnok,kenshi,jax,jacqui,takeda,erron black and frost.

I dont like it (not fan of these characters), but I have to admit you have a point there.

Nearly perfect list and if those were the only ones I'd be ok with it; I'm getting the game anyway because I have both kollector's editions pre-ordered, though I'd like to see Fujin make a playable return as well even if as DLC because his variations could be insanely good.

Shinnok seems very unlikely in the scenario they skip the Netherrealm Wars, NRS only has a boner for Quan-Chi, I don't think they are too proud of Shinnok.
