I would like to see no guest characters in the next MK game.

The Alien. Certain details about MK9 would have to be changed for the Alien to be done right. It would require efforts I'm not sure NRS would be willing to make. But maybe MK10, or any future games, will make it possible to properly incorporate the Alien.

Kratos: Either without the special treatment this time, or the ability to turn it off. I was denied the joy killing him should have brought me.

Freddy: This time with Robert Englund's likeness and one glove (if indeed it too late to do one or both of these things in MK9), and maybe Jackie's likeness as an alt. In a single player mirror match, instead of a different color, the AI-controlled Freddy should have the other actor's likeness. Or it could alternate between a different color and a different likeness.

Marcus Fenix, from Gears of War: I probably wouldn't get to kill him as I have neither X-Box consoles nor do I intend to buy them, but I'll make my suggestions for him anyway. Instead of alt outfits, you get to play as other members of his team, each with their own voices, and the announcer calling them by their names. No individual special moves or fatalities, but maybe a few gameplay differences.

I could be fine either way to be honest. I think maybe a darker tone and a serious MK game would be bad ass but a Guest could do little harm. We all known the next one will cover MK4, MKDA, and MKD. Maybe this new timeline they will do a hell of alot better then the previous one. I have a feeling Armageddon will still happen and there is nothing Raiden or anyone can do about it but just accecpt it. I would be in favor of maybe Liu Kang coming back as a Boss maybe as a Villian bought back to life by Shinnok and Quan Chi but turns on them so it would set the plot up for a future game.

or why not just do what capcome does and create a spin off fighter with the mk roster vs guest roster? create a whole new story that isnt canon to the current one or past ones.

I strongly believe that there should be no guest characters in the next game. I am not against having them in this game, and tho I havent played against or as Kratos (got Xbox) I support having them in MK9. I say get them out of the way now, because it seems to be very popular topic. Or just throw in Kreate-A-Kharacter for later DLC.

I think MK10 should skip back to after Armageddon, as this gives great potential for the rise of new characters as well as epic returns of lost, forgotten, or less used characters like Havik, Khameleon, Mavado, Hotaru, Fujin etc. It also leaves holes for them to go back to if they want to do more "reboots", but I really think this is the freshest way to go for NRs. At least that I can come up with.

So...YES...get rid of all the demand for guest characters now, by either giving one or two mroe, or giving us KAK again. But do it with THIS MK2011.

NO for MK10.

Conker (Conker's Bad Fur Day): sadly, if he ended up being a guest, he'd be exclusive to a X-Box console, but I still think he'd be great.

If they were going to do a guest character for Xbox (just like they did for PS3) I think they should put in Master Chief from Halo mainly because of the amount of weapons he's got which they could use for his special moves and fatalities(and if they are in MK10 then his x ray as well).
