It's DLC, currently exclusive to the kollector's edition versions of the game.

It may be released for purchase to other people later, but there's no confirmation of that.

The Living Towers can have DLC characters and skins, and/or skins you haven't unlocked in them.

I was so confused at how the characters were chosen for this tower i thought they were random but i guess theyre predetermined

The variations you are change as well.

I've done it twice now. The first time for me, Shinnok, Erron, and Quan Chi had no variation. The second time, Mileena, Ferra/Torr, and Goro had no variation.

Also, Kano switched from Cutthroat to Cybernetic, D'Vorah from Brood Mother to Swarm Queen, Reptile from Noxious to Deceptive, Scorpion from Hellfire to Inferno and so on and so forth.

It's not at all consistent. And I doubt Gold Scorpion is unlockable. If anything, there's probably a secret fight in there somewhere.

Yeah I seen him too! I got my hopes up and got a gold rating as well but no skin????

Yeah, I had no interest at all in the action figure skin, but if it was going to be a reward for completing the tower, I would be all for it. Sadly it wasn't. Oh well.

My thoughts exactly. It beats the infrared skin though.

I love this Gold Scorpion skin, even being kinda silly. idk, the cartoonish style of it.... Wish they put a way to have it in the game without having to buy a certain version of the game

I got excited for a second when I thought it might be unlockable. Oh well. I've got the blue steel skin for sub zero, but the completionist in me says that's not enough.

According to sources Gold Scorp is not unlockable through gameplay. So far it has only been releases as pre-order exclusive. I expect it'll be made available somehow sometime down the line for the completionists and Scorp fans anyway.
