It would be kinda interesting if his guns were actual six-shooter revolvers, and you had to keep track of how many bullets were left before reloading.

You can expand on the mechanic by having certain bullets have special properties, which would give you the incentive to time your shots and hold on to those special bullets until the time is right.

I'm thinking he will have a lot of gun related specials, maybe like Deathstroke but with more gun specials since he doesn't have a sword, probably a zoner that controls the match with , low, mid, up, and in air gun shots

I'd imagine he'd play like Injustice's Deathstroke. Multiple weapons from long to short range. I don't know if thatd be one variation or split across multiple ones but that's my guess.

that would be really cool. I would love to see his X-Ray involving him shooting them both and seeing the bullets destroying the opponents insides.

I hope that he has his guns out the whole time and not just as specials, he uses them to fight hand to hand as well.

Assuming he is in fact Salazar, the description for the webseries states weapons in general and not necessarily guns so maybe he gains a blade of some sort in another variation but then there are a lot of characters with edged weapons.

Don't give him a lasso, people will dub him as an Indiana Jones rip-off. Mavado's ropes were lame. Erron Black is a mercenary, he deals with more brutal weapons.

The first time I saw Erron Black I immediately thought he could be MK's Deathstroke. So I would give him the zoner treatment. High Gunshots, Low Gunshots, and Normal Gunshots.

I think he could use grenades or use mines as well.

T-Rex's six shooter idea is great. I like the idea of Erron being able to pop off six shots as fast as he can. Then having to manuay reload his pistol one bullet at a time, giving the opponent time to close the distance.

And yes, his Melee must include his pistols.

To expand on the idea, I could see him having a little indicator in the corner of the screen showing the barrel of his revolvers and how many bullets are left in each. The special bullets would be highlighted, of course. Every time he reloads, he'd just grab a handful from his belt, so there would be a bit of a random element as to when the special bullets would show up. Faust from GG has something similar.

I'm sure y'all could come up with more ideas, but so far I can think of two:

-Tracer round that leaves a flaming trail behind itself that lingers for about a second or so, meaning you can't jump over it.
-Drill round that locks the opponent in place for a second as it tears deeper into them, the same way Kitana's fans do.

Indie used a whip. Speaking of which, I could see Erron use a whip. I instantly thought of Mavado when I saw him. Mostly because, I see him as a western bandit, where as Mavado was the Spanish bandit. I really wanted Mavado to become a Zorro-ese character, but his potential was lost somehow. I can see Erron having a similar potential and I don't want it to go to waste.

Sure, but he also carried a rope which could be used as a lasso. I won't mind if he has the whip.

To me really, I just hope he's in the game playable, then we'll have the group.

They seem to be pushing the boundaries of what to expect from fighting mechanics in MKX. Look at quan chi with his boosting circles, it is very rpg-esc.

Not to mention having damage over time effects in the game with Quan Chi curses, D'Vorah's poison and Reptile... everything!! (at this rate Sub-Zero's unbreakable variation with his anti chip armor could even become mandatory against certain characters).

Ermac already has a variation where the number of floating lights around him changes the strength of certain powers. Kotal Kahn charges a powerful move in his sun variation through repetitions too.

I have to say though, that i wouldn't like "interface indications", both Ermac and Kotal use their abilities without interface intrussions (unlike Injustice where every character had a trait), so I'd prefer them to find a way to do this stuff and it being clear by just looking at the character model.

Somebody here speculated last week that Erron Black is either Johnny Cage or Stryker working deep undercover for the OIA. I LOVE that idea.

But if he is his own character, I really hope he does have more than just a 6-shooter. Give him a whip, bombs, and a shotgun. Oh and the spurs would be sweet in an Xray.

Just want to say I hope he is in fact an original character, not just JC undercover.

I like the idea of specialty bullets. Rex's tracer idea sounds good, leaving a fire trail that's harder to jump over. I'd recommend electric bullets for the stun effect. Piercing bullets could be unblockable; poison or "dark" ones could debuff the opponent in some fashion. Randomizing the bullets could make it hard to set up combos, but if you can load your own specials like Green Arrow then that could work fine.

Maybe have the ability to use specialty bullets be its own variation. Another "Demotitions" variant could use bomb traps -- some timed like Cyrax's, and maybe a version that you detonate at will with a command -- how's that for space control? A third variant could make him more of a close-in brawler. He might look good with a machete.

I like the different ammo idea. It plays even more into the ode of the stranger. A reloading mechanic similar to kitanas sharpen. Giving him an eagle or an animal companion variation would be cool too. I also like the always fighting with with his guns out, smacking people with that shit. Good stuff guys. Also, a bar fighting variation since kano didn't get it. I'd laugh if he dies in the comic.

If MK made EB a vampire that would be a good start to Nitara's family tree. Mk team said they wanted to do a male vampire. Now if he's a part of nitara's family tree idk. But fuck it would be cool if he was as badass as Jericho Cross!
