posted02/03/2015 08:36 AM (UTC)byimmortalkombatGame informed Australia has just put on facebook that Mortal Kombat has been given a R18+ rating in Australia
In order to officially receive the classification the game has to be finished and complete
So does this mean it's gone Gold?

I'm not sure what the time frame usually is for these sorts of things, but the game is indeed just over 2 months away. Somehow it seems hard to believe though. I feel like I know less about the game than I did when Deception was being made or Armageddon, or maybe even MK9.
Its a good feeling, actually. For all the shit I've given NRS and others have about lack of info, I'd say it ended up being worth it.

Yeah I believe it is finished. I just hope they stretched the silhouettes out to be at least 30 characters or more for the finished character slots.
If it is complete now... Why wait until April ?
I hope at least in a demo.
P.S boon said that the characters would be in proportion to the time and budget available... so if the game is complete now, I really hope that it is really full of character.

They need to balance the game.

I hope so. I'm not looking forward to a push back date for further balancing, that would suck badly.

Games usually go gold a month before release, so I'd say it's likely not done yet. Though, in these final stages, it's likely just polishing, checking for bugs, and fine tuning things. That's likely why it has gotten a rating.

Thats probably the case. The ports also have to made, and the main game has to be mostly done before assets can be sent for porting. They may actually be finished now, and just helping with the ports.

Lik Aerosmith once sung: Dream on! Dream on!
It will have only 23 characters, + one Guest that waste a spot and then + Goro for the ones that got it early.
