Future Adventure Games -- Who Do You Want To See?
If someone could tell me how to make this into a poll, it would be most appreciated. Anyway, here are the most likely choices, IMO.
Scorpion--this one is a no brainer. Ed Boon's favorite character, plus the biggest fan favorite yet to be exploited. I would suggest a Fable-esque game in which we play through Scorpion's life, from his childhood, witnessing the murder of his clan, presumably at the hands of the Lin Kuei, follow him on his quest for revenge which leads to his death and perhaps then fill it in with a more cohesive story than the multiple versions we've been presented with over the years. Sub-Zero, Noob-Saibot, and Quan Chi would all figure prominantly. Basically, we would get an overview of MK history through the eyes of Scorpion, maybe even get to play as a few bonus characters along the way.
Noob-Saibot-- my personal favorite. I don't know how likely this one is but the MK team could do some great things with Saibot if they just opened their eyes to his potential. More than likely, he would be a bonus character in the Scorpion game.
Baraka-- I believe MK Mythologies:Baraka was at least in conceptual stages before Tobias left the MK team. This one would undoubtedly be delightfully macabre, sick and twisted.
Kitana-- another fan favorite. Could costar with Mileena, Jade, and Sindel. Kind of like Kitana's ending form MKA, except less cheesy.
Goro, Kintaro, and Sheeva. Playing as these brutes would be a real treat.
Johnny Cage: Not sure of the likelyhood of this, considering he was playable in MKSM.
Sonya-- Has yet to be playable in an adventure game despite missing out on MKSF and costarring in MKSM
Kano and/or other Black/Red Dragon Members-- It's good to be bad. Could make a good GTA-style game if properly executed. Highly unlikely, however.
Stryker-- This guy's itching for his own tactical shooter.
Reptile/Khameleon-- Why not? Hell, why not throw all the ninjas together in one big MKM:Ninja Edition. Just to piss off the haters if for nothing else.
That's about all I can think of for now. Any feedback, ideas of your own or constructive criticism is welcome.
