To be honest... i don't care much about Rain. I would rather see Ermac in MKX. I just don't like the look of Rain. I even can't explain why :D

Did Boon ever hint at Kano before the reveal of him in the magazine? The answer is no. So don't trust the "hints" he's dropping for Rain. He's not making it in.

Hmm..I still think Sonya, Cage and Liu won't be in the roster. Cassie's existence still makes me question why they would bother even including her if both her parents are playable. Soul Calibur wanted to move on with Natsu, Patroklos, Pyrhha, etc, and it seems MK is going the same direction.
If anything, the info that Sonya and Johnny are gonna be center stage in the Story doesn't necessarily make them playable. They could still be narrators of the story. It would make sense since they are the only Earthrealm survivors.
And then we have Liu Kang who is a mystery to me. If they indeed make him the final boss of the whole game, I doubt he is gonna take a spot in the roster as well. Of course I could be wrong all all 3 could be revealed at Gamescom. That would be funny!

Kano is pretty much a given for GameCon. I won't mind if we had got Fujin, Rain, Reptile or Ermac along with Kano. I would also like to see a new character be revealed. 3 characters plus a new stage or the return of the Kombat Tomb.
We all can wait until day before release to see Sonya, Liu and Johnny if they are to be playable. They won't be too much of an intriguing reveal. I guess if Liu was to be boss, then that could be intriguing...in a way.

Unlikely. I think they might show some footage of Kano plus a new character reveal and the jungle stage, at best. The last two announcements were veteran characters so I don't think the third AND fourth will be the same, especially since there are still a ton of new characters to be revealed

I wouldn't be surprised if it was just Kano. This games still a looooong ways away, plenty of time to reveal characters. That said I certainly hope its more than one character. I also hope its Rain, but kinda doubt it will be.

Yeah I happen to think Rain would be applauded. Hell, they could probably make his moveset look amazing. It would overshadow Kano I'll say that much. Honest to god though if they revealed Rain and Kano together then I really do think people would be talking more about Rain, not Kano.

Too bad gods don't die or else I'd say kill the water god off and let Rain take his/her spot.
