If it is indeed Vincent Prose's artwork, it is indeed a fake. The artist left Midway, and those concepts were done on his own time initially for a pitch. They have nothing to do with MK9. I wouldnt think the MK team would steal an ex-employee's concept for official artwork.

I just was looking at the picture and was simultaniously playing NHL10 so i was looking away from the saved picture. I closed the window and played another whistle. looked at the Thumbnail in my fodler...

The image is now blue and Kano IS NOT present. Whats this from? I asked a good friend of mine who knows more about this kind of stuff than myself. He said it is the result of bad editing and what we seen is an original picture before editing.

Ed was a programmer early on was he not? maybne even for early games, and i know he programmed for MKDA and much of their work. So its clear he is good with a computer, at least to the point where hes not gonna be really bad at editing pictured on "paint" or something.

OR he could have just wanted to tease a little simply for fun and really diddnt care. Then why was the background changed to purple instead of blue? both seem to give an "outworld" aura and we know kano was in outworld at one point (i believe) around MKD being the latest.

The "IX" seems to be the same as used in all the youtube videos with shinnok as the cover with the red and black MK symbol. Compare users to that of who claimed the picture was found. Could be a fake, Could not. But the background was edited in colour before Kano was added, the question of "why?" would lead me to believe it is fake and form something else.
