Honestly, with Quan Chi being the unlockable for MK9's story mode. There's really no reason for them not to follow Suite with MKX's fallen elder.

Complete 100% story mode shows the photo of the library stage, so that's definitely hinting at blood demon (god) / Reiko / Havik / Shinnok. Speculation is fun :)

It's most probably Shinnok. If not, then it's someone who hasn't been mentioned at all. Like Noob Saibot

I don't think it's Shinnok. They're releasing his Samurai Shinnok alt on launch day (if you bought the Kombat Pack), so I think he'll be available right away.

Based on that 100% story trophy name/image, I think the character is most likely to be the boss that emerges near the end.

Yeah this is the first thing to came to my mind when reading OP.

The only character which we haven't seem so far is Liu Kang, and Netherrealm seems to be trying to keep him a secret, so I bet on him. Besides the story mode in MK 9 was only completed by half the players, by making him, a very popular character a story mode unlock people will try to get him. Thus making more people play story mode.

i doubt that it's shinnok based on the fact that we get to fight him so early in chapter one. hopefully its blood-god Reiko or Havik.

I think it's going to be like MK9's and have two unlocks. One at a certain point in the story and the other after beating the story. My guesses are that you unlock Shinnok at a certain point in the story and you unlock Liu Kang after beating story.

My Money is on GORO. I don't have internet at my house right now so I won't be playing online for a bit.. So when I went to GameStop to pre-order, I asked them if it would even be worth my while to pre-order since I wouldn't be able to download the season-pass, combo pack, etc... And the guy said its still worth it to PreOrder because Goro is on disk and I wouldn't need to download.

My guess he is the unlockable while beating story mode. Yes, its probably not a big deal to US on this site, because we are the more hardcore MK fans, and all pre-order so we can get him right away. But we make up a very small percentage of the people who will be buying the game.. So for the rest of the people, achieving Goro after they beat it would be a cool unlock.

Yes i really think its Liu Kang, By now, he is the only one that fits in the FUN RETURNING CHARACTER AS THE BIG BAD. So Unlocking him you could play has a fire god. That make a lot of sense.

Shinnok wasn ́t even an unlockable character in MK4. and if you must play story mode to play as Shinnok, maybe it will unlock when you finish the half of the story mode or something like that.

ALSO if Liu or Shinnok are unlockables. I really hope that leave us at least one spot free on the main roster, Just like in MK9 with Cyber sub-zero.
