MKSM fatality was good for the type of game it was... I think for a tournament game the fatality system since MK1 through MK Deception is best though. I didnt care much for the Armageddon fatality system, seemed too generic for me.

^agreed. Fatalities lost their luster and their importance. I suppose the idea was for people to get addicted to trying to get a higher fatality combo, but it was just so generic and terrible that half the time i didn't even bother. I either kicked them in the nuts or ripped their heads off and that was it.
Original fatalities, or don't even bother.

What the @*%$ was that about? It's practically a given that SM used the same fatality system.MK:SM fatality system is just the upgrated one from the previews MKs, can't you see ?Yeah you.

As subzero961 already said, the shaolin monks fatality system worked for an adventure game, but, for tournament play it would just not play as well. Can you imagine all the cheap players just using fatality triggers for the first hit and just ending the match like that? Bottom line, two lost rounds=bloody death is perfect for a tournament style fighting game which is what mk8 will be. Now maybe if they add another konquest side game(which i honestly hated and hope they don't return) then maybe they can implement it that way. Nice compromise for everyone.

Im not even sure if we are talking about the same thing. I define the MKSM fatality system by building up the fatality meter, and after its filled you have the option to do the fatality system anytime you want.
Which I guess does work, Killer Instinct had a similiar system where you could do a fatality if your opponents health was low enough. My preference is to keep the old style where you do the fatality after winning the match.

But yeah I do agree with you detox.

Fatalities must be executed at the end of the second round.
Just an idea: You can execute different finisher depending on how much is your meter is filled. If its low you can perform Hara-Kiri, if its at the middle you can perform Stage Fatality,if its higher Fatality 1 or Fatality 2 and if its highest - Brutality.

Heres the example that I wanted to show you:

I like that more than what I saw in MK:A.

i don't see what kan be argued here..it is klear that mk deception's fatality system and fatalities for that matter reign supreme over all other mks...
mka was so silly. i think it was built for small khildren..

MKD's fatalitity system was the best cause the fatality combinations only were easy to remember and only consisted of 5 to 4 button inputs. Not to mention every one had two fatalitys. I would really like to see armaggedon redone with next gen graphics and atleast one fatality per character and an improved fatality system that gives characters specific fatalitity sequence moves. and give motaro his legs back for pete sake.
