Prob been done before but hey post your thoughts and other ideas
Scorpion: Scorp rips off mask revealing skull, opponent shits bricks and runs away, scorp throws spear 'get over here!' and pulls opponent back
he then holds the by the neck and blows fire toasting their face, he drops them face first and they try to crawl away until scorp grabbs his still attached spear pushes it in deeper then rips out with heart attached.

Kano 1: Kano eye lasers opponents stomach they fall to knees with guts hanging out (like in tropic thunder) kano walks behind and half cuts off their head they fall face first blood pool effect, kano places foot on opponents head drowning them in their own blood, they stop twitching once anouncer says 'fatality'

Kano 2: Eye laser around heart then goes and rips heart outta the hole, more elaborate classic

Kenshi: Levetates opponent and cuts sick with his sword

Shang Tsung: Quickly snaps neck, steals soul but before he does he makes the soul watch while he mutilates the body some how

I think it would be awesome if the fatalitys were more interactive, similar to God of Wars kills, like each of the 4 buttons would initiate a different fatality then from there you would have to hit the correct buttons as they are displayed with each button initiating a certain part of the fatality sequence

Ummm god of wars kills are nothing like armageddons! God of wars are still a preset kill u just have to hit the right buttons or mash X or turn your toggle stick a certain way, not that crap that was KAF!!!!!

ohhhh ok I thought you meant multiple outcomes based on what is hit. My bad. i dunno..

Id rather how we have it now, OR maybe once the fatality reaches a certain, one of the 4 attack buttons to execute 2 or more possible ending animations. that sounds good.

Id say watching the show beats trying to button mash.

I just want to perform a regular fatality like we've done so in the past. And I do not want to see Hara Kiri retuning any time soon.

Well it's still watching just with a bit more interactivity, you actually feel like your doing the kill, I suggest you play the god of wars because they are awesome! And the kills in them are just insane, best game I've played on PS3 yet

I have played the crap out of god of war. Yes its amazing with a new experience. Guess what, second time through its all boring doing that stuff. Just think 2-3 years down the road waiting for MK10 and your doing the same old button combinations to pull off a fatality youd rather just have the satisfactory of knowing you did, having a sip of chocolate milk and enjoying. If your mind is concentrated on the buttons, you will in some capacity, inevitably not completely focussed on the "show" and may miss out on that first time BOOM that it imprints into your mind.

Now... @Icebaby,

Why against the Hara-Kiris???

You know, I thought they were actually amazing. Playing online. You may lose, but you get the last laugh and its not a total embarassment. In my mind might save me form turning the system off after i get mad on occasion.

I feel they are great ideas. Perhaps we should ahve the ability while hosting games online, or in the options menu offline, to turn them off.

Il bet that 90% of the kommunity will want them back once we are getting back into online play and losses are bound to happen. Its a love/hate thing when somebody pulls them off on you, but its one last contest to see who can get the final comination off quicker. At least the loser wont feel like a moron. and if you get it before they do they will be like "Noooo I Almost Had IT!!!" thus creating that posative gameplay experience and can have a laugh.

Id rather have one and not need it, than need it and not have one.

Yeah I'd have to disagree with ya, once I've seen a MK fatality I kinda don't even bother doing it again, but I've clocked god of war 3 3 times and still love those kills man!

What if Fatalities were more like Supers instead of cinematics, like as a way to finish off your opponent when they're worn down, not just knocked out?

Or would MK get called out for ripping off other franchises?

I Think MK would be more underfire by the core fans than anything... We arent thos games. MK thrives because of story and the core fanbase who can forgive a bad mechanic for 3 games straight. Theres many things they have done right, and fatalities pre-MKA was one of them.

Still it wouldn't hurt to try...people are starting to say that Fatalities have lost their luster as a gimmick/gameplay add-on, so finding some way to re-juvenate the idea wouldn't hurt.
