You just play the game. There aren't any specific faction events yet. You just fight online, do fatalities, brutalities, kombos, etc. It ranks up points for your faction.

So what is the Invasion Boss, Invasion Tower, and War tower suppose to be?

Faction events that will happen from time to time. I guess there won't be anything for the first week. Then we might be invaded by the Chaosrealm and we'll have to play in special towers to fight them off.

and if you're not playing Lin Kuei, you won't get bonuses. Everyone wants to be a ninja since that's all MK fans can wrap their heads around.

You want to particijpate in the faction war? You have to do something that gives WP - NOT FXP

Ranking up doesn't mean squat to anyone or anything.

WP comes from completing your daily challenges, doing towers, or playing online against strangers. The game's rigged so that you can't earn WP from doing things where you face no opposition (namely, 2 player versus while that second controller just sits untouched). Even things such as private challenges don't contribute to the war. If you can select your opponent, then you can in theory ask someone to lose, and the result is no WP for anyone, whether that mode of play is their honest preference or not.

to hell with lin kuei. I'm rocking brotherhood until level 50. win or lose. LOL. only have 19 percent last time I looked. Getting our asses handed to us.

My favorite faction from the game isn't included in the selection. They were way more interesting in the story mode than the Special Forces Jr. by far.

Do the factions even matter? You need to switch and max out all of them for full completion. And Lin Kuei will always win because it's the most popular one. It will always have the most players.

The choice of faction is intriguing me.

For me, it was an easy decision; Black Dragon. I like the character of Kano, makes me laugh, and the name is the coolest.
Also,
SF are yanks with tanks.
WL are too goody-goody.
LK are way too serious.
BS are, err, a bit weird.

Does the choice of faction say something about you and your interaction with the game? I think so.
True that you'll need to be all to complete the game, so in the end it won't matter, but your first choice, what you're instinctively drawn toward, that's telling.

I chose Lin Kuei right away... always been a big Sub-Zero fanboy. But I got level 50 within 24 hours so when the first faction battle is over I am hoping that the majority of the players are smart enough to migrate to another faction.

In a few weeks time the numbers will even out a little.
