There were certainly a love of events that got changed throughout this timeline that not too many were pleased about. There's still talk of wanting Cyborg Smoke in this game.
Which got me thinking, oh noes... Could these changed events somehow make a return, but later on or happen differently later on?
Example:
Smoke being a cyborg, Smoke was changed during this time, but it was Sub-Zero instead. Since Sektor was never killed throughout the story, and his ending tells us that he is the leader of the Lin Kuei and they're dealing with the Automation Program, could we still see Smoke turn into a Cyborg though happening quite differently than what really did happen previously?
