The trailer is pure CG. No actual gameplay. It may allude to things, though.

I think it'll look nothing like the CG trailer, similar but the animations and character models will be much different. Compare the MK9 trailer where they revealed Kratos to the actual gameplay, I think it'll be something like that.

But, who knows. It'll be very interesting to see, just a week away!

I hope the gameplay is visually close to what we saw in the trailer, it looked stunning! With next-gen hardware and Unreal Engine 4 behind it, I think there's a good chance it will happen.

I heard this is still using unreal 3 engine jeez that pisses me off thanks to last en its gonna hold back the game sorry not sorry... its true. Still getting the game tho i really hope last gen old shit hardware wont hold it back :/

I think the purpose of this trailer was to give an idea of how the actual gameplay will look like (parries, environment interaction etc.), instead of just some random combat like in previous game trailers.

I expect something similar with different animations.

Was is officialy confirmed? I did not see such info. They say they will use new engine but is it Unreal 4 for sure?

It was confirmed via UnrealEngine's twitter earlier today. Too lazy to grab the link. But it's out there.

I read somewhere it was, but it's quite possible that it is still on UE3 which would be a huge disappointment. It's going to be 2015 already, I wish the old gen would just die already.

No you're right, but these games are like yearly released, MK took like 3 years 4 if you count 2015 release date!

You are seriously hyped for this game ;) Take a chill pill. I am sure it will be best looking fighting game when it comes out. If it will look like a trialer? I don't think so, but it should be pretty close (on next gen consoles). But I think pure graphics fidelity is not the most important thing ;)

This current gen horeshit is gonna hold back the game completely. Don't see how this is a next gen experience with decade old hardware and software powering it.

Yup it sucks. Last gen already reached it's full potential, whereas current gen has so much unexplored territory. So much to work with and use. Now I'll always have this "what if?" in the back of my head of how much better this MK could've been.

(Not to say it will be bad or anything, but with UE4 it would've been better. No contesting that.)

Totally. I was beyond hyped when they said they were using UE4. But now this has disappointed me. What's next gen about it? Seems like it's another decade old looking game coming in 2015. Ugh.
