Does mkx ps4 require ps + for online?

So I recently picked up a pS4 system (the nice glacier white version with destiny) mainly because I knew this game is coming out soon.

To my Dismay, I found out that you can't do PVP on destiny without having a PlayStation plus account. That wasn't very cool, and I'm wondering if it's the same story with Mortal Kombat X.

Yeah I think you need PS+ to play online. Idk if its true or not but I heard somewhere that even if you don't have + you can still do the Living Towers as long as you are connected though.

PS+ is required to play online matches. The living towers will update without PS+ and you can contribute to faction wars as well but cannot play faction team battles.

Actually, Shaun Himmerick said that you dont have to. He tweeted it yesterday

Considering how many times Xbox live has been down in the two months, I wouldn't be pointing fingers. Both online services have taken a huge dip in quality.

Shaun Himmerick isn't in any kind position to be making statements like that, it's not up to him. You will need PS+ to play online with PS4, I don't understand why this is so hard to grasp.

PS Plus is required for ALL online gaming on PS4 (Expect Free-to-play games).
PS Plus is not required for online gaming on PS3.

MKX will not be an exception.
