Pretty self-explanatory. Since a 25 year span has occurred, I think it would be quite cool to see various locales affected. One idea that popped into my head was a desolate Wu Shi Academy.
Or how about a chopped up/burnt Living Forest? To indicate Kotal Kahn's influence?

Oh yeah. Just because the series is moving forward doesn't mean the past is abandoned. With this big time span, they could do some fun things with some arenas. Have mold and vines grow all over The Pit or something.

Kombat Tomb. So want them upper spikes and able to slide them off while holding down. I usually kept them up there, in MK2.

I would love to see a few arenas from MK4-MKD brought back. Not too sure if I'd want to see any 1-3 stages back, I kinda got the whole "Classic Love Fest" out of my system with MK9. But I might would go with a few of the MK1-MK3 arenas that were left out of the previous game or that hasn't gotten a 3D make-over period, this generation, or the last, or the one before that- Like The Kombat Tomb, The Bank, The Pit 3 ect. The latter two would be best served as DLC since they're MK3 based and that portion of the new timeline is already over.
That said, here are the MK4-MKD arenas I'd love to see return.
Wind World (MK4)
Ice Pit(MK4)
Acid Bath (Deadly Alliance)
Yin Yang Island(Deception)
The Slaughterhouse (Deception)

Just Two.
The Portal and Kombat Tomb. Not many people were asking for The Bank or The Bridge but The Portal missing from MK9 was VERY noticeable.
I hate that Kratos got his own stage but The Portal was missing.
I'd also like to see a variant of The Kombat Tomb/Warrior Shrine because with so many fallen it'd be nice for Raiden to dedicate something in their memory.
I wouldn't call 4-7 stages classic but I'd love to see a redone MK4 Fire Well, Quan-Chi's Fortress from MKDA, and maybe Raiden's Sky Temple.
And hopefully we see two or three Hell stages due to Shinnok.

Yes.
I would love to see any of the MK1-MK3/UMK3 stages return, I also like the idea of them being aged a bit for this game.

Yes, iconic levels are MORE important to ME than certain returning characters.
NRS should give value to the settings by linking special properties to the locations; I always wondered why the "The Evil Monastery" had no time difference in the story despite the quick day night cycle.

MK X on Disc The Portal it seems that it would really fit with the time travel story line
I think that we will get 8 DLC fighter each one should come with a classic DLC Stage
1. Pit II from MK9
2. Living Forrest MK9
3. Ying Yang MKD
4. Prison MKD
5. Armory MK9
6. Acid Bath MK9
7. Sky Temple MKD
8. Subway MK9
In Killer Instinct every fighter has there own Stage why not MK?

House of Pekara is actually one of, if not my all time favorite MK stage. So yeah, seeing a variation of that 25 years later could be really cool.
Is also like to see modern iterations on Lung Hai Temple, Wu Shi Academy and perhaps the Nethership.
It'd be cool to see one or two of the really old arenas from trilogy aged 25 years. A dilapidated warrior shrine possibly.
Of course, I'd only want to have maybe three classic arenas and again, I'd want them aged and reimagined. Every other arena should be new.

Doesn't really count as classic, but I'd like to see a 2D, non-deathtrap version of Falling Cliffs. That was one of my favorite levels of the 3D era. I just loved the way it looked.

It wouldn't work in 2D. The whole gimmick of this arena was that it was round platform, which crumbled over time.
In 2D it will be just another flat platform arena. The same goes for pretty much all stages from MKD and MKA. They were created for 3D gameplay.

So it's absolutely, 100% impossible to move the falling cliffs into the foreground, keep all of the aesthetic qualities of that level, and just play in a 2D plane near the edge of a non-crumbling cliff-side?
I'll be damned.
