Do you think MK:Trilogy should be unlockable in MK:A?
I was just wondering if all you guys think that MK:T should be either in a S.E. of MKA or should be unlockable in all versions. I mean how nastalgic would it be to be able to play all 2d characters? Oh and if MK really wanted to get cool, they could go ahead and sprite in some new characters into 2d form the through into it. Could you imagine Quan Chi and Fujin in 2D, I think it would be cool.

I think I'd rather see MK1 and MK2 return, but with a twist. Every character is playable in those games. Reptile, Ermac, Goro and old man Shang Tsung from MK 1 should be selectable, while Jade, Smoke, Noob, Kintaro and Shao Khan should be selectable for MK2. They could add stories for the characters and perhaps if it wasn't too time consuming, give them their moves from later games (ie Reptile's acid spit and force ball, so he's not just sub-zero and scorpion combined). Not sure if this could be done, but I think that it would be a cool bonus for fans.

I think that technically, it would be impossible to emulate MKT in PS2 and X-Box (there is no Arcade port of it-just pc and console), so they would have to reconvert it, and extras can't be so expensive to do for a MK game.
What is possible is UMK3 from Arcade (using an emulator such as MK1,2,3).

Yeah, I'm not sure it's practical. I guess if it was, that'd be cool, though.
I still have a working copy of Trilogy though, so I guess it'd be a bitter sweet extra. It certainly doesn't have the lure of the first couple of MKs, which are a decade out of circulation.
I still play Trilogy on my PS2.
I think I'd rather an original extra, as mentioned in another thread.
Definitely something 2D. That'd be great.

Personally I would much prefer that they make a well-thought-out and decent game in itself without thinking of extras just yet. Besides, if they make a good enough game out of MKA then who honestly cares about extras? Particularly the old games, since to be fair they have had their day already. I would prefer it if Midway focused on the new games rather than the old ones.
But MK2 could easily be done, there is a port of that on both Shaolin Monks and Midway Arcade Treasures 2. I think MK1 was on Midway Arcade Treasures 1 as well actually, so they do already have those games ported. Like I said though, I am not that bothered about them bringing back the old games yet again.

I agree with whoever said MK and MKII with all characters playable-- I would love to play as MKI Reptile. He remains, in my opinion, the coolest looking of all the ninja in the series.
