I am a massive MK fan always have been and always will which is why I was so excited to see the kollectors edition for MKX and was going to throw my money at it straight away however when I saw it I couldn't be more disappointed! For the cost of it you get a lousy steel case, card a scorpion statue, a scorpion sting and a lousy $3 comic which I have already read I think it is pretty crap especially for the price so I am just getting the regular version.
I had hoped to see a nicely presented art book or all the comics released to date not just one! Or a nice he'd cover book covering the story of MK9 and MKX with in depth character bios and backgrounds on all the characters in the game similar to a book I for with an assassins creed game many years ago but alas there was none of this so instead I will save money and spend it on the DLC that follows.
What's everyone else's thoughts on the kollextors editions?

I just don't understad the Kombat Pack $30 for 4 Characters that might not have an alternate costume.
Compare to Killer Instinct $40
8 Characters with 7 Alternate Costumes and their own Stage
Plus a Bonus character(Omen) with 3 costumes
Also I bought mine from Gamestop where the Manager said I would also get the Cold War Scorpion skin. After NeatheRelms post I don't think it's still the case. WTF?

Yeah the kombat pack sounds like a bit of a rip off I am going to wait to see what characters they put in it before parting with any money

I agree, the MKX special editions definitely pale in comparison to the MK2011 one where we got the game, a detailed Scorpion/Sub-Zero book-end statue, an awesome art book.
Netherrealm really dropped the ball on this one.

I'm disappointed there isn't an art book. MK9's art book was fantastic.
Regarding the Kombat Pass...it's not that bad. 4 characters + 15 skins. Everyone seems to forget about the skins. And when you compare the pricing to past pricing models, it's consistent. $5/character. $1/skin. That's $35. So the Kombat Pass gives you a $5 discount.

What annoys me is I looked at the uk collectors edition and it didn't say it came with goro, wouldn't bother me so much if it hadn't said the north American version has him in it and seeing as I've pre ordered with amazon before for a collectors edition and didn't get the pre order bonus because it wasn't the standard version has me a little worried

If you pre-ordered the game you will get Goro, regardless of what version you ordered.
The comic, I beleave will be the collection, I think it said volume one, not issue one, not that it makes the Kollectors Edition worth it,
I myself went with the gamestop premium edition for the kombat pass, don't care to much about the scorpion skin either

A Noob there is the other edition by Corse it's a, different Scorpion statue. Sure it doesn't come with the comic steel case or card but I got it and it's decent. To each thier own of course, but the statue is cool the gold skin and kombat pack. If you wanted more then the game and not wanted the comic I think Corse is for you if you choose lol

I am only disappointed in the north America collectors edition.....I pre ordered the 100$ version thinking it was the uk one with the steel book (I'm a sucker for those) the metal card, the statue of scorpion, and the comic..........seems us in NA only get the base game & the dlc for 100$, hope I'm wrong but that's all game stop says comes with that version. Komplete bullshit. If that's all it is I'm gonna bump my pre order down. I can buy the dlc later if I want it.
