I'm just happy my favorites survived. A lot of classic characters got shit on badly. No one got fucked worse then a particular predator based character.

2. Did Scorpion survive?

I believe Sektor was the one who got fucked and only mention of Cyrax was the oil thing in that garage scene with jax and johnny.

it's not about being butthurt, it's just a reaction ... a reasonable one , coming from someone that grew up with MK ... I do remember a days when it all made sense ... just that ... this is a joke, for kids ...:)

At least they are playable, if it depended on me, some of them wouldn't even be in this game.

I didn't think my first post here would be a disagreement, but this thread title gave me a visceral reaction that I wasn't expecting to have. Plus, there is nothing wrong with healthy discussion. So here goes...

I honestly don't see how NRS is being disrespectful here. I too have grown up with MK, but at a certain point we have to understand that this is an intellectual property that we don't own and therefor have no real say over. They wanted to tell a story and had free reign to use their characters however they saw fit. If some characters didn't fit the story they wanted to tell those characters were left out. If the narrative called for a change in a characters established background then it was changed.

Now if you are disappointed with the direction they went go ahead and drown in those feels, but to call it disrespect is another thing. They didn't disrespect any fans and they sure as heck didn't disrespect these characters. If I create something and I choose to change certain things about it later on I'm not disrespecting it. It's not a person with discernible feelings, it's an IP that I own and have creative license over. Some will like the changes and some won't, but if at the end of the day if I put out a quality product (which is what this all should be about) then no one should feel disrespected.

Excited to actually play this thing, and I hope y'all are too. I'm happy to be a member here and I hope to get to know all of you in the future.

One second the Kitana fans are mad about her dying in Mk9 and possibly being left out of the sequel because of this, rioting and asking for her to be at least a nom canon playable character, and suddenly they're butthurt and mad about her being playable in X despite her being of no importance to the storyline, yet basically being a shoe in for MK11.
