This nobody staying dead malrakey is going to create a bad name for MK. We need to sort it out. Dead old stale characters can be replaces by New exciting fresh characters. It gets too crowded and its hard to know what state evrey individual character is in. The things is to make sure the NEw characters are Exciting and have good storylines people wont be obsessed with bringing old characters back. What you think?

New flesh replacing old classics?

Look at what has happened ever since Mk3...new characters have been hated a lot, why? Because they are (the majority) all just like the classics.

Examples:

Why get rid of Kano and create Jarek?
Why get rid of Scorpion and create another boring ninja with fire?
Why get rid of Kano/Sonya and create Kira? She is just the same thing but lame.

See my point? Sure, new characters are needed, but so far only few have managed to succeed being original.

There are characters with boring cliché and stale stories like Kitana, I guess she could rest a game or 2, I wouldnt miss her, specially since we already have...how many edenians?

Mileena
Jade
Sindel
Tanya

And those are only the girls. IMO, their stories are far much more interesting then Kitana, but still, the blue female cant be replaced, unless the character turns out to be something amazing...and seeing past Mk games...I doubt they can manage do that.

I think the team should focus on giving a new direction and the old spark to characters whos stories arent as good as they were before. A new twist or something. Sonya, Cage, Scorpion, Kano, Tsung, Goro, Kahn, etc for example, they need improvements, all classic characters do.

True all old characters do need improvements but i think new characters should be introduced. All totally orignial and actually exciting and powerful. To make the character exciting it could enter by killing a important character, and when i say killing i mean killing, finished done with capeesh. This showing its power and potential and will immeadiately have a impact and would create a good story line. They must look good and be slick and clever and "cool" not the Jonny Cage american cool though

Darrius & Hotaru & Dairou lack excitement and are pretty boring.

A way they could develop characters is to make the Konquest modes Cannon. They could make lots of events happen during Konquest. In MK:D Konquest you do something for Darrius then he is just on the floor knocked out for the rest of the game.

Thats the only reason I play and consider MKD's storyline good. At least, the first part of it.

New blood in Mortal Kombat is always desired. And Queve had stated out many points why new characters are not accepted among the fans.

I believe Mortal Kombat should borrow aspects from many different cultures around the world to create their new characters.

I would love to see characters have elements borrowed from legendary figures from Greek Mythology, Chinese Legends, Egyptian Gods, and many other famous myths and legends that have been created through the history of mankind.

I would actually like to see that theory in action.

I wonder how much will people love a new character that permanently kills Scorpion...meaning, the specter should, must and will not ever return from death, hell or heaven (yet again).

I dont think killing someone is the asnwer for a new character to be loved....on the contrary, he/she will always be the one "who killed my fave character" kind of character and will be hated till the end.

True but an important character does not have to be a character that has lots of fans and is loved.

Bo Rai Cho?
Tanya?
Noob?
Cyrax?
ect

Heres my take on this!

If the're going for the resurrection route. Then i say gives the new characters there own moves and combos that differate from originals.

YOU POSTED THIS ON MIDWAY. Nobody agreed with you there, so why would you do it on another forum? Mk is always going to have atleast one classik charactor in each game. No fighting series really replaces all charactors, that practicly makes it a new game.

I realised that Midway is full of young kids and i thought i may get better answers here like i seem to have got man.

Can't you read man, obviously not. I never said anything like "Get rid of all old characters and just fill up with new ones." i said certain characters should just stay dead, most of them are not dead so why the hell would it be replacing all the characters and making a new game.

Thats pissed me off its basically the same thing that happend on Midway forums before i just got replies from people that had half read the post and had just seen the Title "Die" and then seen in the post "New chracters" they instantly jump to conclusions.

OK!!! lets get this str8. Old cha. are good to have because of their moves and stuff and everyone has a favorite cha. thats old school I would hate if my favorite cha. was gone RIGHT?? and if they make new ppl they should make a movie first to see them in action and how they look before we buy it they should always have the old cha. gets this str8 they are all legends in mk every old school guy and girl... SO try making a movie before making new cha. I think we are good with these cha. in games EVERYONE IS HAPPY WITH MK GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
