I didn't even think of Fujin when I saw that tweet until now. I wouldn't put much stock into that.

At this point Fujin is probably the highly most requested MK character- if they do a kombat pack 2 best believe he will be in it.

He's the Rain/Martian Manhunter of MKX. Besides, the person demanded ALL FOUR- Boon simply saying no is meaning you can forget about the other three.

Another heavily looked at Tweet that many would possibly assume something that really isn't.

Hence the debate under the tweet. I don't think it means particularly anything about Fujin's chances but hell if it doesn't at least give us something to speculate over since we haven't been able to speculate on anything MKX related in damn near 4 months since we've known the contents of the KP since before the games release.

In other words, just a harmless talking point.

I think they have, but not because of the tweet. But because the possibility for a third guest. And let's face it, KP2 will be the story pack plus one. The question is who's the plus one? Boon has been tweeting a lot about Alien and we already have Predator. Toss in the fact that MK9 was a missed opportunity for Freddy vs. Jason and MKX could very well pull off AVP to make up for that.

If however, they aren't doing a guest then I'd say Fujin is a lock.

I get what you mean. I just wouldn't look at it as if it's Boon's way of saying, "Stop getting your hopes up for a playable Fujin."

The game has only been out for five months. By next month, since it'll be half a year (obviously) is when people should ponder whether or not they want to continue thinking this game still has more to offer.

I don't think that says anything about Fujin's chances , I think he meant no as in no to putting all 4 elementals in the game as DLC.

Especially when we have Tremor for Earth & Scorpion/Liu Kang for Fire

They'd more likely give Rain more water powers than put the Water elemental from Mythologies in X. Fujin still has a chance though.

I agree, and if Rain is still a "demigod" there is really no need to introduce the water elemental, considering a demigod with water powers could surely fill that roll lol

Why is that so impossible? I didn't even remember until I saw this thread and I saw that tweet when he first answered it.

Even if Boon does know Fujin is one of those four, the question was addressing ALL FOUR, not solely Fujin and his answer was simply no to that.

I was only joking about the skins idea. That wouldn`t work, as they`re all canonically completely different characters. People insist on giving them various names, as they were only known as Water God, Earth God, and Fire God. Only Raiden, and Fujin were ever nammed.

In MK4, Kuai went to apologize to them for Bi-Han`s actions in Mythologies, but they had been killed apparently.

Because I don't believe it. For two plausible reasons:

A.) The guy gets hundreds of questions asked to him per day, I'm sure someone had asked about Fujin by associating Mythologies in their question.

B.) Fujin is a highly requested character, people know who he is and where he's from.

Bonus: It would be silly for a man who helped make the series forget stuff. And it is silly that people have forgotten that he was in Mythologies. (That is if they really have or if you're just humoring who I quoted). Because saying that is like saying you don't remember where Tremor originated from.


I don't speak for the person, but I simply don't believe the guy is that forgetful. He's not that old. People still have good memories in their fifties.
