I'd like to see a morgue type thing this time around.

Someone should tell the the MK team to not put "screamers" that pop out of nowhere, with their gigantic deformed face..... that's the only thing I didn't like in MK9's Krypt. A majority of people don't even like those, so...

They should make the new Krypt really fun to explore without that kind of distraction.

I hope we get a huuuuge Krypt. Maybe dead MK9 karakters could make kameos there?

I just really liked the MK9 Krypt, it was almost flawless actually!

They just need to make it so much bigger in size!!!

And the Nekropolis should become an actual area to fight in! Maybe?

after you open 666 Coffins you unlock a Secret fight. If you win you Unlock that Character

I like that idea as well, unlocking a character after unlocking everything in the krypt.

I do not see why the Krypt should not return. It gives players an incentive to keep playing to open everything and it looks cool.

Now that MKX is an original game it would be great if NRS included prototype character designs like in Deadly Alliance.

They need to DELETE that in MKX. It's the only thing that ruined the Krypt.

I think I saw the screamers maybe twice in all of my time in the krypt, I thought they were funny...

I want something like the nekropolis back, especially for the character model viewer, it's a good reference for fan art also.

I always turn my volume down when go to the krypt because of that stupid screamer.

I'm all for a new Krypt, but please, no screamer. Unlocking shit should NOT be the scariest part of the game.

Nobody wants to play a videogame to have seizures.

We want to have fun, and relax while playing Mortal Kombat.

The only thing I would tolerate instead of a screamer is Dan Forden's head appearing in the korner of the television screen.

The MK team better not try it again with those gigantic screamers that hide everything and make it impossible to see anything whatsoever, I am not here for screamers.

I believe it was mentioned that there would be something similar to the krypt.

I just hope they have more useful stuff. Yeah concept art is great an all. But i would like more videos on:
-development of characters
-interchangeable weapon and other aesthetics. (ie- Change out Kano's faceplate, different knives & chest pieces)
-better background of characters
-obviously Alt costumes

You all just scared when it pops up at random times, that is why you don't want it or more to return.

I agree with the user that said and I quote; " more screamers please". Can't take that away because it's the best part of the Krypt.

How about....having the Nekropolis with the Krypt and implement a morgue into it?

The Morgue: Description

The metal boxes in a wall will contain 4 characters (that don't make MKX). 5 others will be artwork and number six will be all the moves and finishers of the character that you unlocked.

The Catch: Only happens mid-point through Story-mode.

It's a mini-game and only it happens once (twice if you're lucky), You only get to choose one box. The items are changing behind the doors. So, a little challenge.

Those unlockable characters are called "The Returned", which are characters that became undead and resurrected(Anyone watch Resurrection? ).

I've always liked the Krypt/Nekropolis.

That monster really scares people though? Have any of you played a horror game before? Seen a horror movie? Nothing but jump scares these days. One little monster isn't gonna give you a heart attack.

Although I did prefer being able to stroll through the Krypt in peace without being yelled at by things. If they want to add something like that again to the next Krypt/Nekropolis I say they should get Dan Forden to pop out and say something spooky.

Dan Forden should be the super secret character than you can unlock and actually playable after unlocked.

Agreed. I thought the screamers were awesome. Jump-scares are classic Slasher/Horror movie tropes which has always been an influence in MK.

And Mortal Kombat is a fighting video game, about fighting.
It's not a horror movie. It's not a horror video game.
With a horror movie or horror video game, you are constantly preparing your mind and body for such moments because of what the media IS.
You are full aware of what you are getting yourself into.

While Mortal Kombat, it's just a fighting game.
So yes, that fucking creature scared people because it wasn't expected.
A sudden image appearing out of fucking nowhere with high pitched audio is scary.
You're not naturally adjust to things like that.

I didn't say MK was a horror game. I was saying horror games use lots of jump scares, one jump scare in an MK game isn't a big deal to me. And given the atmosphere of Nekropolis it shouldn't be all that surprising that you'd see something like that. However the noise it makes is unsettling when you're just browsing around casually.

Which is why it shouldn't be implemented in MKX. I'm not afraid to admit it: That son of a bitch scares the fuck out of me!
