It was pretty obvious there wasn't going to be one, imo. As well as the fact how there are hardly any demos for triple A games this gen, we would of heard of something by now. I'm disappointed, but in a way I'm glad because now I can enjoy the game in its 100% completed glory when it comes out in April

It just sucks that both MK9 and Injustice got one and MKX isn't getting one.

Feels like they are trying to hide something even though we can clearly see the game is awesome.

But you can make the argument of, with a demo there is a high chance of leaks.

so no demo means no spoilers.

Kinda happy because im sure the demo would have been kotal, scorpion, sub, and cassie or dvorah. I want to wait till april 14th to play with kotal

I'm not surprised that there won't be a demo this time. When MK9's demo came out it was hacked within hours of its release. Most of the major plotpoints were revealed by then.

Absolutely no point in releasing a demo now..

"Didn't the demo get hacked last time, leaking the whole roster, character renders, alt costume details, and the entire scripted plot of story mode word for word all over the internet?"

The MK9 leak is irrelevant to this. Injustice had a demo and its the same situation.
The way games are built makes it difficult on devs to only have a fraction playable. Plus there is practically no positive for the devs/publisher to do one. MK9 and Injustice proved they can make a good game with a quality story. Their reputation could only get worse with a demo.

That said I enjoy getting a chance to play the game early. So thats a bummer.

I don't remember Injustice having any major leaks or any leaks at all.

It's a pity we won't be able to play the game before release, but at the same time there won't be any leaks so... good news.

The game will be out in two months, we don't need the demo.

I'm not really bummed there's not a demo, but like Redman said, Injustice had a demo and it was based on an early build of the game.

I'm not saying it's the ONLY factor, because I'm sure it isn't... but to call the MK9 leak irrelevant is just silly. I'm sure it played at least some part in the decision.

Just because Injustice didn't have a leak doesn't mean it couldn't have, or that MKX couldn't either. I'm sure they never expected MK9 would or could, but then it did, and all their work got splattered out on the internet for everyone in a way they didn't intend for it to...

Furthermore, Injustice is a non-canon DC Universe game. Ultimately, whatever does or doesn't happen in that plot has no damn effect on the longterm story of Batman or Superman, and much of the story was probably crafted with DC looking over their shoulders and nixing/pushing things as they saw fit. MK, however, is their baby and their brainchild. And this is the first time since arguably Deception that the plot is moving in broad new directions. Armageddon was mostly just an excuse to kill everyone with a little story attached, and MK9 was just a do-over, with a couple extra twists.

This is the first time in a long time they have a completely new plot, which I'm sure they absolutely DO NOT want leaked, and are super excited to get into players hands the RIGHT way... and with the sour taste of the MK9 leak still lingering in their memories, I can't imagine the idea of it leaking again isn't something they'd consider. The idea of that happening again would MOST CERTAINLY play a role in their decision to just as soon not even risk it.

Well, since us X-box'ers never get an MK demo anyway, and, they don't give swat for the old fart like me with old-gen, I can care less. Since I am one of the very few who will get the old-gen version of the game.
