Okay, hear me out on this. We've seen that when Erron Black does his X-Ray, he fires a bullet that literally has his opponent's name on it. Now, I figure they must be putting that graphical effect on the bullet in one of two ways. Either they have textures of each individual letter, and they're putting them on the bullet in the proper order to form the names, or there's an individual texture for each possible opponent's name as a whole. I think it's the latter, due to the fact that multiple instances of the same letter (i.e., the two n's in "Kung Jin" or the two a's in "Kotal Kahn") look different from each other.

So where am I going with this? When the game is out, undoubtedly people will be digging through the data files to rip textures. It should be interesting to see what names will be found on Erron's bullets. Who knows? We might see names of hidden characters, characters who almost made the roster but didn't, or future DLC characters. And knowing NRS, they'll probably throw a few names in there just as red herrings.
