I can't tell you enough how much I dislike the Xbox one controller. I'm thinking about converting to the PS4. If I purchased the PS4 version of MKX and logged in to WBplay would my progress be backed up and accessible? Also, is connecting to online faster than Xone.. It's it's hella slow.

As for you connection, just make sure you are on a wired connection. I played on wifi for the first couple months and the online was unbearable for the most part, but yesterday I finally bought an Ethernet cable and played connecting with that and had a blast, only like 5 matches out of the 30 or 40 I played were laggy lol

Wow. Someone that prefers the PS controller to XB? Not starting a flame war. I don't care what system people own and I'm not on any mega corporation's "team," but I don't usually see that argument for anyone's preference leaning toward PS4.

It's the D-Pad.
The D-Pad sucks on Xbone, damn buttons are too close together.
You would get your WB Play unlocks but everythng else would have to be unlocked. I have no problems connnecting to online with PS4. Wired is obviously better but even if I play upstairs with the Wifi it is stil pretty good. If I find a player with also a good connection there is good matches with no noticeable lag.

A lot of people have been gaming on dualshocks for over 15 years lol. I haven't held an Xbone controller in person so I cant comment on it but it certainly looks nice, I certainly am pleased with the DS4 though my only complaint was at the start I would accidentally press the options button and pause the game but my hands have adapted.

It's shockingly bad. The d-pad isn't separated into four individual buttons like on PlayStations. I usually get a next gen PlayStation but the deal on the xbox one was cheaper...

Haha thanks, I'll try wired again and see how it goes

I find that surprising. PS4 is the cheaper option in my country, there's literally no incentive to buy Xbone.

I purchased it brand new for a massive deal of $400NZD with the Kinect, which I thought would be amazing.. but I hardly ever use it. Edit: I don't use it.

Damn man, I can see why you went for it and it's unfortunate that it hasn't paid off for you. I would recommend getting a PS4. The controllers are great. Comfortable, ergonomic and has a far superior d-pad. The PS4 UI is easy to navigate too and I've never had any problems with connectivity, with or without LAN cable.

I'm actually more shocked, if that's even enough of a word to describe it, that people out there actually exist that prefer the XB controller over the PS4. Since it's inception the XBox has always had the clunkiest, most obnoxious and least user friendly controller.

The original Xbox's controller WAS terrible. We called it "the burger. " But they improved it a few years in with the S-controller. It still wasn't as good as the PS2's but it was a start. The 360's controller trumped the PS3's, though (except that $#*@ D-pad). Can't comment on the One vs Ps4, as I haven't played with both.
