Hi People!
I was wondering if some of you would like to see somo COLOR PACKS with future updates. I think this would add more logevity to the game and this feature its not strange in the fighting game ́s world.
I think some costumes have a lot of potential for this, even ninja ones! Scorpion, sub zero, ermac, reptile, all would retain their primary colors (Yellow, blue, red, green) but adding another ones. Other characters would just look fantastic with more colors and this is something EASY TO DO FOR NETHERREALM considering the succes of the game.
A new MK is going to take a while, and MKX is going to be at future tournaments. This is a cool way to support constantly a fighting game.
Here some bad photoshop work showing the idea

You can already do this in the PC version, via texture modding. would be highly redundant to add this as paid DLC or hell, even as free DLC.

Nothing redundant about getting DLC that people managed to do on PC by hacking the game files.

Exactly, in PC is just a mod. A lot of fighting games have this and in PC they have more creative mods.
This is something easy to do, that would greatly increase the replayability of the game.
In Mkx, with their unique costumes that we wont probably see in the next MK, i think an update with these would be mind bending. In a future MK i think this is a feature that must be included and even taked to another level.
For example, a lot of players expend a lot of time unlocking player cards, but this is something that at some point is not that relevant. Imagine that after 25, 50 and 100 wins with a character you unlock a new color for all of his costumes!!!
Much more life for the game and rewarding for the player.

What sense does playing with a Mileena in blue make?
The same sense as Ryu in Red.
Or Ken in White
Or Reptile having Sub-Zero and Scorpion's moves in MK1.
It's just coloration, not a lore-bending redefinition of the character. What sense is there NOT having additional customization options?

even then,it's a bit redundant when the alt colors are already quite different from their original colors. this isn't like MK9 where some of the alt. colors weren't really that different from the original colors.

Agreed.
I say MK needs to make the leap to customization already. Enough with the hit or miss costumes and 1 color palettes. We need full on character customization. Colors, alternate clothing and hair options, character appropriate items, etc.
Even KI had the sense to include customization and that game is pretty barebones.

That!
And even then, all ninjas can retain their original colors.
In this case, more is better. And i am pretty shure this would please the mayority of the fans, and those that at first don ́t like it will be pleased once they see it.
And with variation ́s changes it would look even more awesome.

I was also thinking in this.
KI and Naruto Shippuden games have this kind of options and just add a ton of replayability to the game.
Would be awesome to put the revenant costumes in the living versions of the figthers. Like you said, taking some stuff from one clothing to another to make a unique attire for your character.
Even been able to choose the looking of scorpion and sub zero swords, the color of some fireballs.
If in the future they want a way to make MK even bigger this is a safe bet.

Customization in fighting games is cool. It brings a lot of variety to online mode when you see tons of different colors and outfits.
Tekken is great for this except... you will never ever be able to buy anything unless you play 24/7. This shit is expensive.
I'm all for customization but make it affordable.

I bloody love this idea and wonder if it would be fairly easy to implement? I really like having the option to change the alt colours at the moment, a lot of them are just as good as the main.. and a few not so much. But the limit is endless.

Easy, more isn't always better.
I don't think that the Street Fighter costume colors are even half as symbolic as the character colors are in MK.
Given that many of the characters have that "palette swap" history, why do we want to change that? Just give me another costume.
Actually they don't need to give me anything else before they give me costumes for my DLC.

Yes, Blue Mileena, even though she fooled everyone in Deception into thinking she was Kitana, using her own Pink wardrobe...
I`d rather have full on KAK again...

I can see both sides arguments here. Being able to choose over a varied color palette has been a fighting game staple for a long time now. But on the other hand, appearance means a lot in MK. Would I want the option to select a neon pink Noob Saibot? Or force Scorpion into a Lin Kuei-esque color? That just seems wrong to me.
Yeah, I'm gonna go "no" on this one.

Kinda reminds me of the Faction Outfit discussion.

Even then, there are plenty of optiosn to add color and costumize your characters both ninja and female ninjas without changing their original colors.
Color swaps are only the tip of the iceberg here. There are tons of combinations betwen the ninja colors like red, yellow, blue, and so on, with White, grey, black, and on.
Haven ́t you think in some metalic or even a Diamond color for the ninjas?
(Something like Gold scorpion and Blue steel Sub, but in terms of color for the other costumes)
Even then, Ninjas are not the entire roster. For the first time ever, they give us a gold Kenshi and would be awesome to have this in his other costumes too.
A full yellow/golden Takeda with Black details, even a camouflage one resembling his Special forces role.
If they give us a JC with Red pants and Black protections for his alt, or even a green one resembling his green powers.
And that without touching Erron Black, Kano, the Shaolin Monks and others.
Posibilities just Go on and on..
