I know what you mean. I loved the hidden fights from those games! I'd be happy with a "secret character" again. Not just DLC characters

What's so exciting about secret fights? Especially if said character is not playable.

And the movesets aren't actually original, just copies of other playable characters.

Besides, OP, we kinda got that for MK9.

If you're saying you want a NEW character, who wouldn't be playable... yeah... that would just annoy people this day in age.

I'm still salty that you couldn't play as the bosses in MK9.

They're also not as special anymore because the internet discovers and dissects them within a week.

I would love it if we actually had to earn some secret characters rather than paying for them, or simply beating story mode. I would love to see some super secret battles like MK1's Reptile, or MK2's Jade, Noob, and Smoke. Especially if it introduces some relatively unknown characters that get fleshed out in later games.

What was so bad about MK9's secret fights?

Yeah I would be down with an unplayable secret character fight(s) again. Hopefully accessing them would be a challenge though, assuming they have a secret fight of course.

I wouldn't mind having to work to earn those characters, but I just can't get behind fighting characters that you cannot earn. It's just a mega tease to me and annoying. Not to mention pointless. "Yay I get to fight an unplayable character and get nothing out of it!"

There were 4 in the last game and they were great. Who did we fight if we didn't lose a round on Medium all the way up to Shang Tsung Nevermind I'm pretty sure it was Jade You Found Me Fight

I'd love it if they had one of these types of things, where a rumor becomes a reality and the community figures out how to find a special hidden character for a fight.

Of course, this time the character wouldn't be a palette swap with stolen moves, but a fully realized character.

But you can't fight them. They wouldn't be DLC either. Instead, they're a bonus character on disc, but only after the final DLC character comes out does the character jump down ala Reptile and give you "look to la luna" type hints.

This character would come in the game so even people that don't get the DLC can find him once the final DLC character comes out.

I'm sure this would be ruined somehow. Someone will find some secret the devs didn't mean for people to see or someone on the team will say something they shouldn't, but it'd still be fun if something like this were possible.

Just curious, but what character would you want for this secret character fight? I'd love for it to be Erron Black, as MK fans have largely taken a strong liking to him. I'd just worry that the initial backlash at having him not be playable would actually sour the final reveal.

So who then? Jerrod? Tasia? The woman from Jade's ending? Noob? Lucifer? Shinnok? Havik? Someone entirely new?

The days of this kind of thing are done. The throwbacks in MK9 were nice but all I had to do was Google them and there they were. I think people need to realize the rush we got in the Arcades when someone fought Reptile or Smoke or Noob is gone and isn't coming back in the internet age

Tremor secret fight would be awesome, but I really need atleast 3 or 4 hidden fights and to be really hard to inlock and FUCK OFF with MK9 "secret" fights that's not what secret fight is MK 2 and MK 1 were the ways!!!!! So put Tremor and some other interesting shit and surprise us !

I'd love this to happen. And to anyone who asks what the point of this is; the answer is "something to discover, and a good challenge".

Question is: Who would we fight this time around? Seeing as how we went through the MK1&2 secret dudes last time, I'd think the best candidates would be MK3' Cyber-Smoke, Trilogy's Chameleon/Khameleon, MK4's Meat. In particular, those last 3 would be really easy to do.

I'd say Noob again as he was a secret fight in MK3 and 4, but we've been there.

Something else that crossed my mind is that they love to homage old rumors - it wouldn't surprise me if we got a secret fight against a beefed-up Ermac this time through.

But Ryu, you do realize how pointless secrets are these days seeing how we can just crack open the games and find them in no time or day one someone will have found the super secret fight with...Reptile 2.0

I would love to see a deeply hidden fight... but I'd honestly want the character to be playable. Even if it was Chameleon/Khameleon... ESPECIALLY if it was them, actually... as they need more story exposure.

I'd be fine if the criteria for unlocking them was beating them. So you'd be forced to find the secret fight before the character.

I just don't like half-finished hidden characters with no story and no history, that aren't acknowledged anywhere else in the game, and leave the community arguing for a decade over whether or not they should be considered actual characters...

I'm fine with a secret fight, I just want it to be a fully fleshed out character.
