I think the sexuality in Mortal Kombat is purely sexist. It comes only from the girls. And even though some of the male characters show some skin like their chests and stuff, it's still not the same because the shape of the men is completely unrealistic. It's hulk-like to the point where they all look fat, while the girls are designed to look perfectly slim and idealistic.

I mean, even on Kreate-A-Fighter for MKA, I tried making the sexiest-looking guy I could and I couldn't because the male structure is so fat and excessively bulky. Plus, you couldn't even give them any slutty apparel, like speedos or kinky leather outfits, but the females had dozens of different bras and thongs available.

Plus, the skimpy outfits for the girls are so unfitting more MK. It's suppose to be a dark, serious, kick-ass video game with all the characters having these tough, legendary qualities like comic book superheroes or something, and then these women come in looking so ridiculous and unserious. It kills the whole dark, powerful vibe of MK.

And until Midway and Ed Boon see that MK has lots of female fans, I'm pretty sure they're gonna continue making the female characters look weak and cheap.

Uh, comic book heroines (and villainesses) are generally about as well dressed as the MK girls. Seriously, Wonder Woman's been running around in a star spangled bathing suit since the 1940s, and I can name plenty of heroines who follow her example.

Being hulk-like is idealistic to a man, there is no difference.

Other than Mileena's, Nitara, and Sheeva's costumes (3 of 14), I saw nothing inherently wrong with the women's outfits. The guys show off their muscles and the girls show off their curves.

The MK women do not look weak at all, and they do not look cheap. What does everyone want the women to wear?




In comics too, both the women and men are perfectly sculpted, and they both show off what they have in equally flamboyant costumes.

Okay, here's something to think about. Almost everyone hates Bo' Rai Cho and Sheeva... Bo' Rai Cho's the only fat guy and Sheeva isn't very feminine looking. I wonder why they rub everyone the wrong way?

31 of the men, in at least one of their costumes, are only wearing pants or underwear; and usually something that only covers barely half of their torsos or less, if anything at all. Should the women dress like that too, or are people saying that women shouldn't dress like that?

What I'm hearing is:
Person 1: "Look, she's showing alot of skin... that's sexist!"
Person 2: "That guy's showing alot of skin too... that's also sexist!"
Person 1: "No it isn't, he's a guy."

People instantly notice that Mileena, Nitara, and Sheeva don't leave much to the imagination, but no one notices that guys like Goro and Shao Kahn are running around in speedos.

Yes some of the guys show skin too, but it's not as much as the females. Most of the females from MK:DA and after are showing nearly half of their bare ass cheeks. Shao Kahn (hot stud) and Goro walk around in underwear too but the back of their underwear doesn't consist of nothing but a string up their cracks, does it?

Plus I don't think it's fair that the females' stucture is so slim and flat-stomached, while all the males are bulky behind realistic limits, and therefore unsexy. I mean, back in MKT, I'd love staring at Johnny Cage's vs. screen picture because he was so hot and muscular BUT STILL SLIM, not fat like the males in the latest MK games. Plus they don't even have 6-packs anymore, they have like 12-packs or something.

Can't you guys tell how grossly thick the male characters are? Check out the guy in Kreate-A-Fighter. His thighs are like tree trunks, even his muscles have muscles, and his pecs aren't even puffy and smooth-looking, just big but flat and smaller than his arms, like if chest is sunken in or something.

I'll readily give you that the womens' outfits are visually appealing in various ways, but the majority of them have realistic clothing, if only it's their alternate costume. The ideology here is still women+skin=bad and guy+skin=don't care. But 31 guys aren't "some," 31 is almost half the game's roster.

QueenSindel, are you saying the women are hot but the men aren't? Are you saying that you derive stimulation from the men with more realistic-looking physiques?
I will say that I prefer the guys to have more athletic bodies than built, so that the ones that are built seem more unique.

What I'm saying is, the body stucture of the females' is realistic (except for the super fat boobs), while the males' isn't. I'm mean look that them. They have muscles upon muscles and thickness upon thickness.

The men, as bare-chested and speedo-sporting as some may be, are not sexy. Who'd be aroused by a man with wrinkly, super-chunky wrestler muscles? Even there forearms are gigantic. I mean.... ewww.

Why aren't the girls thick? In fact, they don't even have a single curve on the arms to indicate muscularity. The girls= super slim. The boys= super thick (and wrinkly).

I get turned on by hot men no matter where they're from - video games, movies, TV, cartoons, or real life (especially this). So it's unsatisfying playing MK all the time while knowing that all these slutty male characters could have been sexy if the developers just could have given their body structure more realism... like they selfishly did for the females.

No one makes a big deal out of the men being shirtless and stuff because it's not like they having anything sexy to show. I mean, I'm sure no one would have said a word about Mileena's alt if she would have been thick with a huge 12-pack stomach and wrinkly tree-trunk sized arms and legs.

I'd too like the men to have athletic body structures instead of ogre buffness, and it's so that they can be sexy with their speedos and bare chests.... For once since MKT where the men's structure was realistic since it came from real like actors.

I'm just curious. What if there was a female version of Bo' Rai Cho. Not as in puking and farting but as in fatness. How would MK fans react to her?

Wow, QueenSindel if all the men of MK turn you off, then you should play Resident Evil 4... they gave Leon a realistic body at least. (If you already have then good for you.)

I honestly prefer the MK guys beefy as they are now. Although maybe it wouldn't hurt to give different characters different sizes like in SoulCalibur.
