sitebender, I have to agree with Hikari715 in that your ideas are terrible. It's nothing personal. It's just that you don't seem to be well-versed in the storyline for one thing. You think that we're just being close-minded. The real problem is your lack of LOGIC in your ideas. They are so ridiculous. And besides, this thread is about characters who are in need of change. I'm talking about things like how Scorpion should stop being an idiotic jackass and return to the way he was in the older MKs or how Kung Lao should not be his MKSM self and return to the way he was before then.

Logic does not have to apply in MK games, after all, despite the fact that characters die they return. I am well versed in MK storylines and loopholes. I will however chalk this up to one that I cannot win. Bye now.

Well, I guess I'll touch upon my favorite character, Reptile:

In my opinion, if he returns, he should finally just give up hope of reviving his race. His servitude to Kahn yielded nothing, working for Shinnok got him an empty promise, and Nitara was just using the guy.

He should finally realize that nothing can be done, that no one will help him bring back his people. That said, I'd have him probobly go after Nitara, simply because she manipulated him into freeing her race.

He'd be pissed off at her, because while he wasted centuries of his life trying to save his race, she tricked him into granting her race freedom on her first try. Reptile was driven insane, failed to save one master, tricked into serving his murderer (Yeah, it was a clone, but you get my meaning), who then used him to get his greatest wish for her own race.

He'd be enraged at the betrayal, upset that he was possessed by Onaga as a result of her plot, and jealous that she has what he always wanted. That's why I think Nitara'd be a perfect nemesis for him.

Otherwise, I'd have him just accept that his race was never coming back, and mosey off into Zaterra, never to be heard from again. Or be a wildcard, simply wanting to kill as many kombatants as he could out of spite.

I was under the impression from Konquest of MKA that Reptile was really a human turned into a reptile due to an experiment with the Red Dragon. I know the whole Sauraun race situation how they left Earthrealm when Shinnok and Raiden had a war over Earth.

So I just think that Reptile is something different just from what MKA made it seem to be. Unless of course Reptile heard there were other bipedal humanoid reptiles and he came to the Red Dragon HQ to find them.

Midway needs to surprise us... they need to kill off every single character, even Sub-Zero and sadly Scorpion... the new characters should be specifically unique and really lovable...

I would not go that far. Frankly, in my opinion, many of the new characters Midways given us have been meh at best. I don't think I'd be too thrilled if an MK game came out with an entirely unfamiliar cast.
