Its been a long time since i have posted after the failure mka turned out to be hope some of the guys i talked to on mirc are all doing ok

now...

Heres what i was thinking:

I noticed midway likes to make character specific arenas example (reptiles lair) and a few others but what i dont understand is what is the point of making character specific arenas unless they are going to serve a purpose other then pretty looks

soo..

why not make these specifc character arenas serve a bit more of a purpose for example

In mka reptiles arena with the snake, characters that approach the snake get a reaction from the snake whether it be damaging or not. character specific to that arena reptile in this case would not cause the snake to react since it is his home

now this can be done for a bunch of specific characters arenas just think it would add a nice touch your thoughts?

I love the idea! Maybe not every character since it would probably take a lot of work, but the majority of the characters should have their own special place or arena. For instance, Sub-Zero would most likely be in a very cold environment and maybe some opponents would freeze their asses off while the atmosphere dosen't bother Sub-Zero at all. Just a thought.

I think it would be cool to have an arena for Johnny Cage ala MK2 Comic Book style on his movie set.

Like you have directors chairs to topple over, thousand of dollars worth of equipment and cameras to break and see sparks fly out of. There could be wires on the ground, crane cameras zooming back and forth in the stage, and crew filming your fight and having the two characters images on a big screen projector. They can add sound effects when someone gets hit hard where they go "OOOH!" that classic saying in the original Mortal Kombat games, and just classic Mortal Kombat lines. Another cool idea would to have actual developers of the game in the backround as one of the crew such as John Vogel and Ed Boon.

Someone could run in between both of the characters before the fight and when the announcer yells fight, the crew man would slate with those clip boards and then the fight starts.

I think that would be pretty cool and not sure why they never did that to begin with. Thats something I really like about the Street Fighter games how everyone has their own stage and music to go with. Definately something I would want to see in future MK games, thats if they arent to lazy to do it. Which will probably be the case.

This concept would cause some balance issues. One player gets an advantage over the other...it simply just not fair.

Thats why the arenas can only be chosen in random, so what if 1 character has an advantage 1% of the time u would get your turn as well when your areana comes around. Say 30 arenas, those 2 arenas would be generated the chances of getting that arena twice in a row is a bit shy to me at the same time it would add some needed flavor
