So we all know by now that it's brutalities that are going to return.

I am personally happy that they are going to return.

But something I have not seen discussed is if the brutalities should be a combo input like they were in the past or should they be a normal fatality input.

I personally hope they keep the combo input and they don't go the fatality input route.

Now the reason I ask is because we know that MK9 tried it's best to favor new people and make fatalities easy to do basically given you a lot of time to do them and the inputs where not as hard as they were in the past.

So I am afraid they'll go the safe route and make brutalities just a simple 4-5 button input

example.

Back,Foward,Foward,Up+3.

Rather than a long combo which had to be preformed accurately.

But do you guys agree or do you think brutalities don't really need the long combo button input?tongue

I have to say I thought the way finishers were in MK9 were perfect with the amount of time given and the reasonableness of the command inputs. Put me down as a no.
I prefer going the long route.... And the combo input have to come from the combo system that's within the variation of the character..

And Ed just teased something about brutalities.

We live in a world now where game developers want their content to be experienced. Most people don't want to buy a game and feel unable to do what the product claims to offer.

That said, I feel like Brutalities will be significantly different than they were in the past.

Wow only me and another person seem to agree that brutalities should stay long combo inputs.

You are a realist, I agree with you Brutalities will for sure be changed and will look different but in what sense is the question.

Babalities changed in MK9 but they changed into something very good and fun.

I am hoping this also happens to Brutalities, they change but in a good sense.

I would be kind of upset if Brutalities were just fatalities with X-Ray and nothing else.

KEEP THE BUTTON INPUTS PLEASE! lol :p

I think a longer input would be cooler that way people would actually have to learn and practice them to be able to do it, but I foresee them being easier and more accessible.

How rapidly did the buttons actually have to be pressed for brutalities? Never been able to press multiple buttons extremely fast very well.

As long as they aren't to the point where some people can't do it, it doesn't matter to me.

Fatalities are overrated. Once you've seen it 5 times, you just want to move on to the next battle. Am I wrong?

They would be cool and that would mean not everybody will be able to do them easily.

like you said they'll have to learn and practice to be able to do them.

I also agree with what you said that they will easier and more accessible.

I already have a feeling they will go with fatality inputs but I just wanted to know what people think about it.

You didn't actually have to rapidly press buttons you just had to press the right buttons in the right order.

they were basically long ass combos that result in 10 rib cages 13 arms 7 legs and 3 heads. grin

I believe itll be an input for the simple fact i can see te brutality being very cinematic like the fatalities just a tad bit longer. or maybe after you input the move, you get a few "QTE" to add to the fatality

Good with either way then. Also as the poster above me said, I could maybe see some God of War style long quick time events. (But with us having to remember which button to press)

I totally agree.. Anyways im just gonna copy and paste my comment from the last brutality thread.

Really hope its a dial in combo you have to do just to make it as nostalgic as possible. It'll be cool if they added some x-ray effects as well and then end it with a unique move by each character which leads to the opponents body exploding. Example After a nice flow of hits Cassie then uppercuts opponent and orders an airstrike on the air born enemy.. they then take 9 missiles(all adding to the combo counter of course) then the final missile blows opponent to pieces. Just some ideas.

Can someone count how many hits this is lol?

I agree. They've already dumb down the combos and special move commands which I don't like....

That's a pretty nice idea to have "QTE" in the brutalities but like the guy after you said, you should have to remember the inputs and they don't just pop on the screen.

Yeah I agree completely, I don't want all the brutalities to look the same just a combo and then the opponent explode, Each character should have his own unique brutality, I like the example you gave and it's very good.

also I am sure we will get X-Ray effects within the combos which is awesome.

I'd prefer if it was like a QTE where you input the buttons as you go.
