Never heard of him, but he's from the comics. Mmmmm......you see, midway really dont own the comic created characters like Hydro, they were created by the comic people. but he looks cool, i say why not.

Hydro would just be another cheap carbon copy of Rain since both have powers based on water. No thanks.

It's stupid, illogical, and just plain pointless.
For one thing, we have enough ninja-type characters. There's already a male ninja-type character that has water-based powers. And also, Hydro comes from the Malibu MK comics, not the games or the MK comics done by John Tobias.

why would they bring back hydro...i dont think there was even a "hydro" in any mk game in the 1st place

Hydro was never even part of the official series, only the comics, and I doubt Midway would even try to get the rights to use him. Besides, Rain already has water-based powers, and the last thing we need is another robot Lin Kuei warrior.
I'm closing this not because the discussion is lame or anything similar, just because it's the equivalent to asking Midway to "have an MK Vs. Street Fighter"; never going to happen.
