because you can doesn`t mean you should.....for the last bunch of games, the added pixel counts meant more detail for costumes and backgrounds which is a problem in itself. IMHO, I can live without the fancy, over-designed costumes characters like Skorpion and Sub-Zero have - it simply isn`t necessary. Design work that is too `fussy` ie too detailed detracts from the gameplay. I like the customised masks Subby, Skorp, etc all got by the time MK2 came out but because you can give a Kharacter an elaborate kostume doesn`t mean you SHOULD! Skorpion`s Deadly Alliance cozzie is a case in point, it looks `busy` and detracts from his initial visual impact. At all times, Skorp`s outfit should look like a real Ninja costume except with the unorthodox yellow bits. Different fighting styles, weapons, etc are all fine but Rayden`s and the Ninja costumes should all look like what they were/are - store bought Karate/Ninja outfits! Too much `realism` spoils the effect, guys. Anyone else agree or disagree with me?

I agree With you but own a different level they should bring down the costumes actually i woudint mind if they brought back the costumes from MK1 for scorppion and Sub-Zero but they would need a little update mainly 3D and they could give us more combos and a wider veriaty of combos its Take mortal kombat 4 for example they had 4 fattalitys unfortunitly thats also how many moves they had they could also be able to experiment with the level because if in a normal fight you could run up mountains and stuff like final fantasy it would probably make the mortal kombat game more popular but it might limit those who can play it but thats my oppinon I hope ive ansered your question.
