It's the last of this generation.

There WILL be more Mortal Kombat fighting games, and even extra games like the Shaolin Monk adventure.

BUT this IS the last Mk game for this generation, yes, this storyline. All twists will be solved, answers to past questions will be given, it will tie the entire storyline nicely, etc. All the characters will rest for a very long time, some will survive, some will die, but most of them wont be seen in a MK fighting for a long time.

Its not the end of Mk, but it’s the end of this generation of Mk as we know it.
